Discovering some amazing features on BeeSwap
The Hive Engine platform is in my opinion one of the great innovations built on Hive. Unfortunately, there isn't much development around it at the moment. In addition to that, lately the main hive-engine node has some issues and it becomes complicated to operate.
Being a bit fed-up with my issues with hive-engine today, I went to Beeswap. This is another front-end for hive-engine. In the past, I went there mainly for the diesel pools because I consider it a nice user experience to swap tokens and add/reduce liquidity. Today, I wanted to set some orders on the market and it's the first time I did that over BeeSwap.
I went to tokens menu and then searched for the LEN token. This is one of the tokens of the Liotes project and I needed to do some work in the order books. While doing that, I discovered some great features...
Moving average and historical data for a token
What always disturbed me on hive-engine was that the chart was very short term and hardly usable a part from getting a general idea of how the token price evolves.
On Beeswap, you can actually change the time frame for the chart to several months, which is really great.
Easily change the time frame of the chart
Another feature that I found amazing is that you can draw moving average lines on the charts. There is an option for 5 days, 10 days, 20 days and 30 days of moving average. The moving average is a great indicator for chart analysis that will help you see trend changes.
You can draw one or several moving average lines. Where these lines cross, you can detect trend changes
These are really great additions and are definitely very useful for people who trade regularly with hive-engine tokens.
Richlist including positions in Diesel Pools
Another feature caught my eye and it's the richlist for each of the tokens. I don't know any other place where it's actually possible to see the positions from liquidity pools.
LEN richlist including liquid, staked and tokens in liquidity pools
For the LEN token for example, there are two separate liquidity pools in existence and this richlist pulls the data from both of these diesel pools together.
I really like how BeeSwap is evolving and it gives me hope that at least somewhere there is some development being done regarding Hive-engine!
Let's connect ! You can find me on these platforms:
Great to see some HE development. I will probably use it more now I see this.
I really like the richlist and the chart functions. I really like what they have been doing there.
!LOLZ I was struggling for the past few days to provide liquidity through Tribaldex, and somehow I forgot that there is another front end for HE. Gonna remember the link to it, so it will be easier for me int he future when I need it.

I've managed to change the hive-engine node with tribaldex and things were much smoother afterwards. The main hive-engine node has troubles at the moment.
I’ve never used Beeswap but I have always heard that it is good
I even sensed that from your review
I will give it a try
It's a good alternative to hive-engine.
These features are awesome, man! Just yesterday @eddispino and I were talking about this site and I saw these features there.
I really like the richlist that comprehends the tokens in pools as well. Also the fact that you can have a longer historical view of the token charts is a great plus.
Wow! I've been using BeeSwap ever since it came out but I had NO idea there was actually a Hive-Engine section. lol (I'm super observant) Unbelievable. I always used LeoDex to keep tabs on all my HE stuff but, as most are aware, that hasn't been working so great with the switch to Inleo. BeeSwap was always my go to for liquidity pools and for converting Hive/swap.hive back and forth.
This is awesome! How have I not seen this?!? Thank you for pointing it out. I've been one click away from having what I want this whole time.
I have to admit that it exists probably for some time already and I just discovered it today :-)
I too have been using BEESWAP recently.
It seems to be working a little more fluently than Hive-Engine.

The main hive-engine node seems not to be working 50% of the time. In tribaldex or Beeswap, it's possible to switch hive-engine nodes.
Yeah, node switching is possible :)

Beeswaps has great features that are very handy when doing operations on Hive Engine. The richlist feature is a cool one :)
I also like the richlist. It's great to see a complete picture of who is holding the tokens.
That is the good thing about a decentralized platform with lots of developing projects is we get to have options when navigating it and conducting activities.
Communities and projects bringing something different to the table will be a great feature of Hive.
@achim03 theres more then one way to do everything 😉
Have a wonderful weekend

I use beeswap mostly to add and remove liquidity from diesel pools because it is much more userfriendly and has more options and information than tribaldex.
For other operations like staking and unstaking I prefer to use Hive Engine and TribalDex but when there are problems like in the last days beeswap is always a good alternative.
Nice and useful post!

I almost got crazy while tring to get my transfers through. They I realized I could change the nodes on tribaldex and looked if it was possible also on beeswap. That's how I landed there to work on the order book. I like what they are doing!

Quite interesting to really hear about this hive engine development
It is...
Thanks for providing these guidelines.
You are welcome
That is quite interesting. I do think it's nice to have those features for anyone who needs it. I do think that it was a bit lacking because other trading software tended to have them.
It definitely gives some trading vibes for Hive Engine tokens :-)
I mainly use BeeSwap, except if I want all recent operations for a given token where my account is involved, when I use tribaldex, or vote multiplier, when I use leodex.
BeeSwap is better from all points of view.
I haven't used it that much yet but I'm sure I will use much more in the future...
It is maintained by the same people? I thought Tribaldex was another front-end of H-E!
Thanks for informing us about these features of Beeswap!

Beeswap is maintained by other people than tribaldex and HE.
That sounds more like fantastic even though I don't really know how to use that front-end. I believe it will be useful.
There is some learning to do in order to use it but in the end it works similarly than the other front ends.
Awesome my friend @achim03

This is really pretty neat :-)
That's right it's a good platform where we can buy a lot of coins but it's also a fact that it needs attention and needs to bring many new features.
Indeed...
Yeah.
Gladly, there is an alternative.

The Hive Engine problems have been driving me bonkers too. It's very hit it miss at the moment. I have to enter a lot of token data tonight for my Sunday Weekly Hive Goals and Progress Update, and I'm praying that Hive Engine works when I need it. I've come to use and love BeeSwap quite a lot over the last year, and yes, it has a lot of really great features. I still mostly use it for the diesel/liquidity pools, but I've been poking around, and exploring to see what I can do there. Thanks much for sharing the cool features that you found! I didn't know about them, so I learned something new, which is marvelous! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
I honestly just discovered these features and I'm happy they can help other people as well :-)
I love discoveries like that! BeeSwap is a very useful site indeed, and I tell people about it quite often! Have a great new week, Achim! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
You are right, the first time I used bee swap to swap some token on Hive, my trust in the Blockchain became unshakable.
Thank you for throwing more insight
Thanks for stopping by!
You've noted some cool features of beeswap. Thanks for sharing.

I think this is a cool alternative to HE. Great post. Thanks for bringing those cool features to our knowledge.
You are welcome!
Oh, thanks for the info. Will make sure to check it out.
