It was tricky to get enough Hive together this month but 1000 Hive powered up again !
My tradition to power up 1000 Hive on the first of a month was never as close as dying than this month. Two days before the date, I still hadn't enough hive collected but I managed by selling some tokens. I'm already worrying how I will do that next month...
I've sold all the DEC that I don't plan to use for the land expansion and I used all my HBD income from posts to collect enough Hive. The problem this month was the number of posts that I created. With only 6 posts created in September I kind of achieved a negative record. I expected to make more posts and to have more HBD available for my power up.
Last month, I decided to give up my HBD goals because it seemed simply impossible to reach both goals (HBD and Hive Power). I decided to concentrate my efforts to collect enough Hive Power to reach my goal of 60'000 HP at the end of the year.

When I look at the situation today, after 74.5% of the year have passed. I'm still around 4% behind my benchmark for HP. I continue to record the numbers for HBD but I don't aim to achieve my goal anymore. My HBD is growing solely from interest payments. This month it was 215 HBD which is pretty nice I believe.
My Hive power has increased by 1593 in this month. 1000 coming from the monthly power up. The rest from author and curation rewards.

I'm pretty disappointed about the number of posts that I did in September. I only created less posts in July when I was on holidays. This month, I was pretty busy at work and I was kind of lacking creativity. It's difficult to create posts when you don't have any good ideas. I hope that I will be able to create more posts in October. Otherwise, it will become very difficult to reach my goal of 60K HP until the end of 2023.

Congratulations on another huge 1K power-up! It's not easy to power up a lot fewer tokens than that, especially in these market conditions, when everything is so uncertain... 😒
It's hard to build an HBD goal from earnings in a bear market like this... It is the same hard as it will be to accumulate HIVE when the price goes up!
For HBD I rely only on interest income at the moment and I try to concentrate on Hive Power. I will definitely need to create more posts if I want to reach my goal :-)

Yes, that's a thought that crossed my mind as well. So far, I try to do without it. If I don't manage to reach my goal, it might be a solution ;-).

Wow, nice powerup and great progress. Over 200 HBD per month from interest is quite amazing. I just went for 10 HP this month.
I quite like the more than 200 HBD interests from my HBD stake. So I will try to keep it untouched as long as possible.

That's a very good question. After 5 years on the blockchain, I sometimes struggle to come up with some good content ideas. The problem is that being idle doesn't really help. I often need to push myself to try to produce something to get back into the habit of creating content on a regular basis. Do you have any strategy in this respect?
I am still trying to grab as much knowledge as possible as of moment. So I have no strategy, yet =D

It feels even better when you can barely make it (in your case to find enough HIVE to power up). Although, as @ctpch remarked, you have the HBD in case you need them. I imagine you want to keep them for the time being for two reasons: 1. we never know how long the 20% APR without long-term locking will continue, 2. while HIVE doesn't go parabolic, 20% APR on HBD can even beat HIVE earnings.
At the moment I want to try to leave my HBD untouched. I had this faint hope that I would be able to reach my HP goals before the end of the year and then still could concentrate on accumulating some more HBD. The market situation isn't really helping though :-)

That's exactly the point. If you do it every month then you won't realize how your account size will grow. After a time you maybe push it to 20 hive and take it step by step. Before long you will join us in the 1K power up club :-)
