RE: Questioning the influencer mentality on Hive
You are viewing a single comment's thread:
For example, athletes and other entertainers have been "influencers" for decades as brand ambassadors, spokespersons, etc.
I agree but these people also a kind of example through their action. It's exactly what you point out "having fame without accomplishment or real value proposition".
Quality and skill mastery in all capacities, whether through influencing, content creation, general business building, are slowly falling away
I think it goes in pair with the values that people tend to live for today. I hope you are right and the pendulum will go into the other direction again.
Thanks a lot for this great comment!

You're welcome but I should thank you too because I've struggled with posting here because I wasn't sure if topics I want to discuss would translate well. Seeing so many post about their token holdings, and posts I consider to be pandering posts, had me a little nervous about deeper topics. But seeing the repsonse to this post, makes me want to dive-in. I appreciate you!
There is place for any kind of topic and content. I really appreciate "real" comments on my posts and I think that it's also our duty to show this appreciation in a way or another. I encourage people to go further in their posts, try something new and maybe also write about things that they really care about.
