Welcome to Pokemon Type Swap!
In this series i will be taking classic pokemon and changing their type — creating a new, fresh look. I am currently picking pokemon in no particular order and choosing a type i think would fit. Comment any suggestions for future ones below.
Todays pokemon is Chikorita, i have chosen to draw it as an Ice type.
Orginial Sketch & Outline
To make Chikorita into an Ice type i changed the leaf on its head into a shard of Ice, i also made the beads around the neck into more ice. I also did the same with its tail
Colour
I went for white for the main body, and a blue for the ice, i lightened this when i was doing the background as felt it was too blue.
Background
I added a snowy background with snow mountains in the distance.
