Pokemon Type Swap 14 — Fire/Poison Arbok
Welcome to Pokemon Type Swap!
In this series i will be taking classic pokemon and changing their type — creating a new, fresh look. I am currently picking pokemon in no particular order and choosing a type i think would fit. Comment any suggestions for future ones below.
Todays pokemon is Arbok, i have chosen to draw it as a Fire/Poison type.
Original Sketch & Outline
I drew Arbok with a slimmer neck hood, and added a more fire orientated fake face to the hood.
I added a rattlesnake rattle to its tail as this is where it generates heat to do fire type moves and can create a smoke screen.
Colour
I went for a light beige colour just because i felt it was right for this look. It also helps the pokemon blend in with its sandy environment. I added reds, yellows and oranges for its details as these are fire colours.
Background
I added a basic sandy desert background and some smoke coming from the tail.
