Do You Judge People Based on Their "Following" List?

avatar

On social media, people have different standards for whom they let into their 'Following' list. Some people follow everyone and everything, while others won't follow anyone they wouldn't trust to keep their darkest secrets.

You can know a lot about a person by knowing how they choose their followers, can't you?

Sometimes you can judge people's personalities by whom they follow too, though you'll need to know the standards they choose if you want your judgment to be remotely accurate.

Anyway, Do You Judge People Based on Who You See In Their "Following" List?

I really don't. I tend to judge people by their posts, and what they write about. I tend to shy away from people that post a ton of politics and propaganda. Obviously, I look for people with similar interests to mine. I also try to avoid mean people whether they're mean to me, or others.

In the years Hive has been around and Steem before that, I don't think I've once looked at someone else's follow list. I tend to follow people who make posts that I like and therefore am likely to upvote. Currently I am following 1277 people (a lot of which I'm sure are no longer active) and I follow a new person every now and then. I find reblogs from people I follow as a useful way to find new people to follow. I rarely look at "new" and "trending" except for the communities I am part of.

I guess I tend to follow people whose posts I could relate too😂😂
I don't really care whoever wants to follow me though 🐠
