Have Extra Unused VCUs on Venice.ai? This Might Help...
Venice.ai has one of the most interesting tokens in the AI Cryptocurrency space. Their token, $VVV, allows you to get a PRO account just for holding it. It also gives you a percentage of the platform's compute power in terms of Venice Compute Units (VCUs.)
Using these VCU points, you can access the API and use any model as long as you have enough compute. Your VCU usage resets daily, that means holding enough $VVV means you will never have to pay for AI API access ever again.
Still, some $VVV holders do not use their daily VCU points. I, for one, have 26 VCU, but I only use 5 of them daily. I always felt it was a waste, but there was nothing I could do about it...
That is, until today! Enter vcumarketplace.com
It's a website someone just made where Venice.ai users can share their unused Venice Compute Units (VCUs.) The website is still in the very early stages, and not all features are there yet. I expect to see some bugs when I get to use it...
Still, it's a great start!
Officially, each VCU costs $0.1, so getting it from these community members will lead to cheaper AI Inference for you! Since I don't use most of my VCU, I left some for myself, and added the rest to the the site at a price I'm comfortable selling at.
Too bad, the website currently only has Stripe as the Payout option. The creator seems to be Pro-crypto, and they said they'll add Crypto payments at some point... At least according to a Discord conversation I had with them.
The project is still in the experimental stage, though... They're developing it on their Free Time, though, I'm hoping it'll reach a consumer-ready phase soon!
I believe this will be very useful if you have a service that requires a lot of AI Inference! Getting VCU this cheap will be very useful to run an AI Chatbot service website.
My idea for creating a ChatGPT-like website in which you pay HIVE for inference might be closer than I expected to create!!
The only big limitation, however, is that you're limited to the AI models that Venice.ai has, and it's not a huge (even if powerful) selection right now.
What do you think?

I think it's a good idea to hold some cryptocurrency which allows the use of cloud services (such as website hosting, virtual private server, or cloud storage) without spending anything (further than simply buying the coin or token and letting it sit on the account). 🤓😏 !LOLZ !DIY

Yup, that's why I love it!
You may want to share here on Hive those cloud services (apart from AI tools) that you have already used before. 🤔 I would have asked @savvytester to test SPK Files here on Hive, though it requires a substantial amount of SPK tokens staked just to test. 🤯😅

That idea is very interesting
