Let's Play "Digimon World: Next Order" - 52 - The Floating City

Digimon World Next Order is a Digital Pet simulator game where you take care of your Digimon needs while recruiting Digimon to the City and building it along the way.

Digimon World Next Order is a modern sequel to the beloved first entry of the Digimon World series. This time, you manage two Digimon at a time instead of one! The scope of the world is also bigger, and there are more recruitable and obtainable Digimon. The soundtrack is very nostalgic with many tracks being remasters of Digimon World 1 OST. Still, the original had more charm in the moment-to-moment experience.

The city of Floatia, has finally become a Floating City!!

In this session, I progressed the story a bit more. My player character was chosen to cut off the wires that let Floatia be connected to the ground. I fight another boss, and we finally get a CGI scene of Floatia going up to the sky!

Another thing that happened was the discovery of a Traitor among us. They pointed out Mameo as the Traitor, because he allowed an infected Digimon into the city, and they thought he did it on purpose! Mameo leaves the city. Just to tell the protagonist that all of that was staged to lure out the real traitor!

The game is getting exciting!

On the gameplay side, my Ikkakumon digivolved into Rapidmon. I went to fight the real traitor afterwards, but I lost. I was utterly defeated, so I decided I'm not ready for the next story boss yet.

Let's see what can we do about it...
