Old Weathered Wood Panelling - Stock Image Photos

Yes, it's images of wood !

But there are two good reasons why I've posted them.

The first is for myself, as a reference source for scale model painting. Painting convincing and realistic wood is hard to do. Having a visual reference is useful to show the complexity of tones, textures, grain and colour shades in something as simple as a piece of weathered wooden panelling.

Secondly, I thought I'd add them to Hive Stock Images because they can be used (or cropped and used) and then pulled into Photoshop, because they make great "neutral" backgrounds for all kinds of other image. You could also pull them into an AI art generator to be incorporated into images generated, to add texture.

The actual object I've photographed is an old computer desk. It became too beaten up to use (the keyboard shelf broke). So I got a new desk and put this one on the patio to await a trip to the local dump. That never happened - it turned out to be far too useful as a worktop and store for small garden tools, flowerpots etc !

The top has weathered nicely over the last year or so, and the photos show it dry and wet, as well as one shot of the side which isn't as exposed to the elements and hasn't weathered because it's still got most of it's varnish.

All photos by me

It's a wonder how some old stuffs meant to be trashed can become useful once again. The last picture is so new.
