Saturday Savers 2023 Progress Report Week 45

It's Saturday again already, and time for my weekly #SaturdaySavers update !

This will be a brief one - I've been helping some good friends with a demo game at a wargames show, been there all day and just got back home. I had a great time, but I've got backache, sore feet and a healthy case of "brain fog", lol.

Review of the week

This week has been a quiet one in terms of earnings, mainly because the previous week was a bit of a fail on the posting front ! I've fallen behind on both HP and HBD goals, so need to push myself a little bit over the next few weeks to make up lost ground. I think that

The good news is that with the price of HIVE going up, it's getting closer to the figure I set myself for investing more into HBD. Once it hits that point, hopefully I'll have enough fiat available to get back on target. If I'm feeling brave in terms of risk, I might switch some of the funds I put into conventional savings each month into HBD. The return on investment is so much better !

It's nice to see that the price of LEO has increased to keep pace with HIVE. I've thought for a while that it's under-valued in relation to what the Leo front-end and it's related projects offers. Hopefully this increase will be the start of a sustained climb.

Because I mostly used PeakD as my preferred front end and with my current Leo Power, my LEO vote value is pretty minimal and I don't often use it. So until I've got enough LP to be worthwhile, I've delegated most of my staked LEO to @meowcurator. This has almost doubled the LEO I earn through delegation. It's currently around 50 LEO a month; I'm hoping by around the middle of next year to be earning enough LEO every month to cover LPUD without buying any. I've resisted the temptation to delegate any more HP to Leo, because I reckon delegating to @eds-vote is a better use for it.

I'm normally very disorganised about saving, and the support of the wonderful people in #SaturdaySavers has been invaluable in keeping me focused. I can honestly say that without it, my HP would probably be half what it is now.

So join ! You don't have to wait until the start of the year. The best time to start saving is ten years ago. The second best time is right now !
