Saturday Savers 2023 Progress Report Week 48

It's Saturday already, I'm really not sure where the week has gone ! So it's time for my weekly #SaturdaySavers update - we're in the "Home Straight" now, with only 4 more weeks to go to see if we've all hit our targets for the year.

Review of the week

The week just gone included HPUD, so I powered up 375 HIVE which quite nicely got me back on track with my HP goal, which had been slipping a bit. It would have been more, but Coinbase decided to lock my account for no known reason. Makes me wonder if they don't hold all the crypto they say they do....

But HPUD did enable me to get one very nice pat on the back....

Yes, I managed to do every single HPUD in the year. Makes me very happy !

I'm still well under target with HBD. If I can regain access to my Coinbase account and use the crypto there I'd intended to boost my HP, I may well put it into HBD instead. No promises, though.

LEO just keeps trogging along. Threads has been down more often than up whenever I've gone to look at it. Hopefully they'll get it fixed soon. If I was InLeo (which I'm not) I'd probably have a pause on the frantic pace of change for a month or two, in order to let things settle down and iron out the bugs and performance issues. I appreciate it's all part of growing pains, but I have a feeling it might also be affecting the price of LEO.

I seem to be well ahead of my SBI goals, but that's okay. I gives me a warm fuzzy feeling to be able to give back to the community 😊 You're all wonderful people, and thoroughly deserve it !

Mapping Tribe Tokens

I always have such mixed feelings about Tribe tokens. Sometimes I love them, other times I think they are just too much work for the rewards, and the interfaces can often be so slow and buggy.

I used to use LeoDex to access them, but recently it's been unresponsive a lot of the time (and today it's showing as down for maintenance). So I've tried TribalDex and Hive Engine itself, as well as viewing my holdings through PeakD and Ecency. My understanding is that a lot of the problems are because which node is being viewed is usually hard coded into the front end. But for the last couple of days I've been using Beeswap, and that seems to be a lot faster and less glitchy.

Like most of us, I suspect, I've got a Hive Engine wallet that's a complete mix of tokens I actively collect and track, some I kind of half-collect and just let build up, plus a whole load of random stuff that's been picked up from goodness knows where.

So in an effort to bring order to the chaos, I've started mapping it out in Excel, to work out which tokens are for tipping (and the rules around that), which generate payouts in HIVE etc.

Although most of this is information contained in the Dexes, in most cases you have to click the "i" button one token at a time to find it all out, and then often go to a link to read up on the fine detail. Some of the tokens have remarkably complex stuff going on ! So I'm using Excel because it's the toy I'm most familiar with, and will enable me to filter the tokens in various ways so I can see what is what.

This is likely to be a stop-start process and take ages. I also recognise it'll never be truly complete, because tokens are born, modified and die all the time. But if I get anywhere with it, maybe I'll be able to post it in the form of correlated data eventually.

I'm normally very disorganised about saving, and the support of the wonderful people in #SaturdaySavers has been invaluable in keeping me focused. I can honestly say that without it, my HP would probably be half what it is now.

So join ! You don't have to wait until the start of the year. The best time to start saving is ten years ago. The second best time is right now !
