Saturday Savers 2024 Progress Report - Week 33
Well I started writing this on Saturday, even if it won't be finished until after midnight, so it still counts 😁 Yes, it's my #SaturdaySavers update !

Here's my table of progress for the week;
How Did The Week Go ?
I think this week was my come-uppance for having a lazy week the one before. Rewards were low, especially in HBD, but it seems almost random sometimes, just luck of the draw if a post gets picked up by one of the curation communities. But that's okay, I'll keep writing things for myself, and if other people like and upvote them it makes me even happier.
Although I've mostly been keeping up with curation, my level of comments has dropped, so I need to do something about that. I put it down to being mentally exhausted.
The process of re-engineering my e-commerce business is progressing more or less to schedule, but it's a big change with a lot of brain-power needed. Especially since I can't close down, re-engineer and then re-open.
I still need to put food in the cats' bowls, so it's a case of keep things running to keep the income flowing in, making changes in a live environment, and monitoring for any unexpected consequences in real-time. Things have been complicated by an outbreak of attempted card fraud. I think we've caught them all, but the final check has to be manual (best way to defeat those AI-bots !), and it's proved that PayPal's anti-fraud procedures are just marketing fluff.
Taking things back into Hive-land, last week saw Leo Power-Up Day - LPUD. HERE is my LPUD post.
It's a good time to buy LEO right now, because the price seems to have dipped considerably. I've just bought 150.98 (enough for the next LPUD) for 26.96 SWAP.HIVE, which works out at around £4.77. The price better go up soon through, because I'm thoroughly underwater with my LEO purchases - I bought far too many when it was around 7 cents compared to the current price of just under 3 cents !
Something to be aware of is that Beeswap have stopped their offer of a no fee and a small bonus when you convert HIVE to SWAP.HIVE, although their 0.45% fee is still the best I've found of the various Hive Dexes - most are about 0.75%.
I'm continuing to push HP into my @eds-vote and @leo.voter delegations. In fact, this week I put more into them that the HP I earned. I'm getting close enough to the target that it's getting increasingly tempting to plonk a lump amount into each to get them to 100%, and just see how much natural growth I get after that.
There's a third delegation I've also started trickling HP into, which is @hive-up - it pays back a quite healthy HIVE drip, but more importantly it focuses curation on creative writers who support the Hive blockchain by growing their stake and posting good stuff.
I hope you've all had fabulous weeks, and I look forward to reading your update posts 😁
If you're not familiar with SaturdaySavers, it's a fabulous initiative run by @shanibeer writing as @sally-saver on the @eddie-earner account, where we all support each other in getting to our savings goals.
If you are one of my friends reading this (or just someone who tripped over one of my posts), I really recommend this as a great community that's well worth joining.
I'm normally very disorganised about saving, and the support of the wonderful people in #SaturdaySavers has been invaluable in keeping me focused. I can honestly say that without it, my HP would probably be half what it is now.
So join ! You don't have to wait until the start of the year. The best time to start saving is ten years ago. The second best time is right now !
