Saturday Savers 2024 Progress Report - Week 22

It's #SaturdaySavers update time !

It's also the first of the month which means it's HPUD, but I did a separate post about that.

Image created by AI in NightCafe Studio. Totally not what I expected the prompt to give me, but it's rather cute even if it does have shades of "The Fly" !

Here's my table of progress for the week;

How Did The Week Go ?

All in all, it was a good week. Most of the HP growth came from powering 50 up for HPUD. I need to buy more Liquid HIVE ! But I still earned 31 HP the "traditional" way with posting and curating.

Most of the HBD growth came from the interest coming in - 32HBD of it. Because of the timing, I received interest twice in May, on the 1st and 31st, so my May HBD earnings were easily twice what I earned in HIVE, particularly as the HIVE price continues to bob along without any real improvement. It'll be time to stack more as soon as my Fiat position improves and I've got enough cash to spare for investing.

LEO gains were down a little, but I haven't been very active on InLeo this last week or two. Some of that is down to having to spend a bit of time dealing with real life, but also Leo seems to have been a bit glitchy for me for the last few days. Hopefully it'll settle down soon !

Both @eds-vote and @leo.voter delegations are on target (finally !!). The slightly higher than usual EDS growth is because I've been selling off Tribe tokens that I'm not so interested in, and splitting the SWAP.HIVE that it gets me between LEO and EDS, so I was able to buy 2.46 EDS with it.

The SBI's were a bit higher than I'd planned, because it's another part of Hive that's been glitching out. I thought I'd forgotten to do a batch in the Busy Bees community so I re-sent them, only to then discover that SBI's bought hadn't been processed for a week or so. I really hope that gets sorted out, otherwise it's a lot of HIVE down the pan !

I've been slightly better about posting, but not quite on target, so I need to keep up the momentum to make up the difference. Once I'm back in a better routine, I need to focus in on analysing which posts get the best earnings. Sorry if that sounds mercenary, but it's part of the game ! While all the posts I write are because it's things I want to write about, I have to accept that quite a few of them end up in communities with very low readership. I'll still do those posts (because quite often, they're the ones I enjoy writing the most and because they are a story trying to break out of my head), but I also want to write more posts that earn over 50 cents !

Hivebuzz has also glitched, and gave me a nonsensical reputation score when I checked it, so I've just left that figure greyed out - it's the least important of the metrics I track anyway, so I'm not too fussed about it.

So that was my week; how did yours go ?

If you're not familiar with SaturdaySavers, it's a fabulous initiative run by @shanibeer writing as @sally-saver on the @eddie-earner account, where we all support each other in getting to our savings goals.

If you are one of my friends reading this (or just someone who tripped over one of my posts), I really recommend this as a great community that's well worth joining.

I'm normally very disorganised about saving, and the support of the wonderful people in #SaturdaySavers has been invaluable in keeping me focused. I can honestly say that without it, my HP would probably be half what it is now.

So join ! You don't have to wait until the start of the year. The best time to start saving is ten years ago. The second best time is right now !

Edit to add - I have no idea why posting via InLeo didn't assign this post to a community like I told it to ! I think going forward I'll revert to creating my #SaturdaySavers updates in PeakD or Ecency.

Also... should have powered up an extra 1HP, it would have pushed me over the 9K mark, lol.

Wow good friend, you definitely had a productive week. It's great to see your progress, especially with the SaturdaySavers community. I agree, analyzing post earnings is key to maximizing returns. Keep up the good work bro

Thank you ! I think because I came to Hive as an alternative to the...other... social media places, I tend to treat it as an outlet for creativity rather than just a place to make money. Yes, it's really nice to get earnings from what I post, but for me that's just an added benefit. The HBD on the other hand, is starting to become a serious investment !

Thank you ! Yep, Saturday Savers is a great way to give myself some self-discipline and focus. It's all voluntary and the goals we set are our own, which means the club folks are never in competition with each other, but instead can swap ideas and encouragement. It's well worth it !
