Saturday Savers 2024 Progress Report - Week 41

It's Saturday again, already ! You know what that means... time for my weekly #SaturdaySavers update.

I'm supposed to be doing an autumn tidy-up in the garden, but we keep getting surprise downpours. Dry one minute, monsoon the next. Gotta love English weather....

Here's my table of progress for the week;

How Did The Week Go ?

It was a really good week !

Posting

I managed to post every day the previous week - the figure on the spreadsheet shows 6, but that's just a timing difference due to doing my #SaturdaySavers post last week at a different time of day.

Yay for getting a weekly author badge in Hivebuzz 😁 Yeah, I know that for people who post multiple times each day that's just "meh", but for me it's an achievement. I'm on course for another one this week with any luck - I did a post yesterday that was remarkably close to the midnight deadline, so I'm not sure which side of the line it'll fall.

Mostly I've been focusing on trying to do one good post a day rather than scatter-gunning a whole bunch of low effort ones. I do need to try to plan a bit further ahead what I'm going to post.

Perhaps I'll pick a week and just for kicks try the route I've seen some people do of 3-4 posts a day but the type that take less time to create. It'll be interesting to compare the earnings, but the reality is that I don't think I could keep that up for long because I mostly write here to please myself and the earnings are secondary.

HP and HBD

Earning 46 HIVE and 5 HBD in a week just from posting and curation rewards is very good compared to my normal earnings. Although I've still got some trades from liquid HIVE to HBD stacked up in HiveDex, I'm not sure if we'll get to my target price before they time out.

LEO and LPUD

It's LPUD (Leo Power Up Day) on Tuesday next week. I've only got about 50 liquid LEO sitting there, which is basically all from delegation and a very small amount of curation and earnings on InLeo.

I'm not sure whether to throw more money at LEO to buy enough to hit the LPUD threshold of 150. At the price I paid for my liquid HIVE, it would cost just under £2.00, which isn't a huge amount, but right now I'm so far underwater with LEO that it feels like throwing good money after bad. It's a shame, I like the whole LeoFinance project, but it seems that no matter how much development they put into it, it doesn't stop the overall downward trend of LEO tokens.

BBH

BBH from @bradleyarrow is a project I'm starting to get quite interested in.

He's recently set up the BBH Outpost as a front end, as well as a Hive node. The level of commitment and energy being put into these projects is awesome; what I'm really hoping is that it'll grow to the point where it becomes a team rather than relying on just one person.

If you've got spare witness votes, I'm happy to suggest voting for him !

That's it from me for now - I hope your week was as awesome as mine was ! 😁

If you're not familiar with SaturdaySavers, it's a fabulous initiative run by @shanibeer writing as @sally-saver on the @eddie-earner account, where we all support each other in getting to our savings goals.

If you are one of my friends reading this (or just someone who tripped over one of my posts), I really recommend this as a great community that's well worth joining.

I'm normally very disorganised about saving, and the support of the wonderful people in #SaturdaySavers has been invaluable in keeping me focused. I can honestly say that without it, my HP would probably be half what it is now.

So join ! You don't have to wait until the start of the year. The best time to start saving is ten years ago. The second best time is right now !

Ah, that's excellent news ! I've seen too many second layer projects fail because the one person behind it gets side-tracked by real life. Having more people (the right ones of course) adds serious resilience and credibility. 😀
