Saturday Savers 2024 Progress Report - Week 8

This is my thoroughly belated #SaturdaySavers post for the week ! I was away on a much-needed (and deserved) holiday for the whole week, so only just got around to doing it.....

Here's my table of progress for the week;

How Did The Week Go ?

This table is a bit of an oddity, and next week's will be, as well !

For a start, it covers a 9 day period rather than the normal 7. But also, while I was on holiday I had virtually no internet access, so the only posts and comments are from a short period between my last update and going on holiday, and the little that I've done today.

Next week, it'll be reporting on a short period, but also there won't be much in the way of rewards coming in (gotta be active to do that, and eating ice cream on the Benidorm beach front is about the least active thing it's possible to do 😁 )

There is also no data for reputation and VESTS. It looks like Hivebuzz is sadly gone for good, unless he's moved it to another URL (it returns a 404 now, rather than just a timeout), and Hive blocks is also down for maintenance.

For reference, the way I've been calculating the social metrics without Hivebuzz is as follows;

Posts - my own internal spreadsheet.
Comments - from PeakD's "Analytics" tab - their comments figure is the total of all-time posts and comments, so I just take the posts figure off to get the current comments value.
Reputation and VESTS - from Hiveblocks. They're on the left hand side, quite a long way down.

In terms of rewards earned, they are of course reporting for posts made in the week before I went away. All in all, the numbers look healthy and I'm pleased with the way they're going. I'm still determined to find ways to post more efficiently - it never ceases to amaze me that something I throw together in 15 minutes can earn more than a post which takes hours of hard editing to create !

With February being a short month (but it's a Leap Year, so not as short as most Februarys), we've got HPUD to look forward to on Thursday. I've got liquid HIVE ready for it, but the amount I power up will depend very much on how much the mechanic charges me to get the car through it's MOT !

I'm normally very disorganised about saving, and the support of the wonderful people in #SaturdaySavers has been invaluable in keeping me focused. I can honestly say that without it, my HP would probably be half what it is now.

So join ! You don't have to wait until the start of the year. The best time to start saving is ten years ago. The second best time is right now !
