Saturday Savers 2025 Progress Report - Week 12

It's Saturday, and that means it's time for my weekly #SaturdaySavers update 😀

How Did The Week Go ?

It was definitely one of those weeks where I blinked and it was gone !

In terms of my Saturday Savers goals, most of them are doing really well. The one that is completely failing is Hive Power. I've increased the number of posts I'm making slightly, although not as much as I'd originally planned to. But earnings just keep slipping.

My current theory is that when the price of HIVE drops in the way it has, users just fall away from the platform and then when the price comes back up, some of them then get active again. So for those of you sticking around and staying active through the dips - thank you 😀

I'm definitely noticing that most of my upvotes come from a combination of automated curation and some really regular fans (you know who you are - a huge thank you to all of you !)

Something else I'm seeing is that a couple of front ends are continuing to be glitchy, particularly Ecency (either registering upvotes but not assigning rewards to them or flicking over to a blank screen when I scroll down). It's possible I'm the only one having this problem, but if others are affected as well then it might help to explain why posts aren't earning what they should.

The next couple of weeks look like being reasonably busy in the real world, but at some point in the next month I'm hoping to review all my investments to optimise their earnings, and at the same time work out how I can separate the social side of Hive (posting and curation) from the aspects that can actually generate HIVE earnings in a relatively low-effort way (HBD interest, trading, Beeswap pools etc).

I'm normally very disorganised about saving, and the support of the wonderful people in #SaturdaySavers has been invaluable in keeping me focused. I can honestly say that without it, my HP would probably be half what it is now.

So join ! You don't have to wait until the start of the year. The best time to start saving is ten years ago. The second best time is right now !
