This post is my response to today's ZapFic Monday prompt in the Freewriters' community. The prompt is DRIBBLE.
Enjoy !

Meet Mr Dabra, our newest resident at the Sunny Towers Retirement Home. He’s totally senile and will dribble and drool when he tells you his stories, but what tales they are !
Before he had dementia, he was the greatest wizard in the world.
For any of my friends (or anyone else, for that matter !) who reads this and fancies giving it a try, it's really fun and thought provoking. The rules are really simple;
- The Freewriters Community has a Zapfic post with a writing prompt every Monday
- Your response must be posted within 3 days in the Freewriters Community.
- Please post a link to your entry in the comments section of the prompt post
- Please use #freewritehouse and #zapfic tags.
- The important one - YOU MUST use a word/character counter (if you search for word counter on the internet or in your phone's app store you will get a big choice!) wordcounter.net and include a screenshot. Entries without a screenshot will NOT be valid.
- Please use the prompt provided as you see fit (use your imagination)
- Try to tell a complete story if you can!
- The story should only be up to 240 characters long (including spaces, punctuation etc).

I would love to meet Mr Dabra.
I'm sure he knows plenty of spells. I'll take my notebook and Abraca with me and a sponge cake homemade.
👋
Thank you ! He's a character I want to develop further, I reckon he's got potential. He started off as an NPC in a game of Dungeons and Dragons, where the job of the players was to take him on the somewhat dangerous journey to his retirement home.
But now you've mentioned homemade sponge cake, I'll have to add that to his canon as one of his favourite treats 😁
Wow the greatest in the world. I would sure love to hear one of his interesting tales
Thank you ! I'll have to see what if the next Zapfic prompt gives me an opportunity, or one of the other prompts in Freewriters 😀
Dementia is really so bad that this great wizard can't remember his past exploits.
Yes - it's the most tragic thing in the world, watching someone amazing decline, remembering their distant past but not what they had for breakfast that morning. 😢
