A little bit confusing

I really don't know how this kind of thing can happen in this advance era of technology, where we think that most of the kids could learn and know how to use technological things very easily. But apparently that is not always the case.

although we should always wonder the fast thinking, and how they can use social media and everything that is connected to those world very easily, and seems to always know the hype around the social media, a bit further than that, they don't really know anything. It seems that their world are only contained in some particular box, things that they like, and things that they mastered so much.

This happen when a teenage girl around my house, who I assume to be very well educated in this technological things, as she seems to be very active on social media, but somehow doesn't know how to do things outside social media.

Can't even understand how to use Google map properly. I mean they are literally on the same device that she uses everyday, but she seems to have a hard time using it.

And then she doesn't even know how to use computer, or laptop. I mean, I was trying so hard during my teenage years to learn how to use computer, which was so slow back then, and so hard to understand since it was a very nw technology, and I have to attend a couse on how to use it, in a designated place, on a scheduled time. But now things are different, laptop and computer is not such a luxury item (at least on the entry level), but she faield to do so, to understand something that might be beneficial for her carreer in the future.
