We were already sold!!!! Big time!!

A very ironic and sad story or news surfaced these last week here in my place, sad because we are now facing a very bad problem in the diversion of the land use all over the island, which has turned a lot of ricefield and also a land field for resorts and such things just in the name of the tourism industry.

I might be good for the people if only the tax was used for the benefit of the whole people, but things were really messed up here. The consumer type of people because we all want to work less and have a certain lifestyle, in the end, some people prefer to sell their land just to get a short fortune, and most of them go bankrupt in no time since they don't really know how to manage the money and spend it like there is no tomorrow.

Now the case has twisted even more because the traditional village head was caught red-handed for extortion of the new investor about land transactions and also the release of the local permit to build the resort.

The people sold the land just to have a certain lifestyle, then the village head takes a commission also extortion and easy money from the transaction, and in a decade or so, most of the locals will still be poor with no more land to own, all we can see are the trash problem, traffic, and so forth but all the money from the tourist evaporated elsewhere. We have been sold, sold big time, left and right, and it is sad.

The land must not be sold permanently, because the land is mine . . . (Leviticus 25:23).

that might be true for sure as in years to come land ownership will pass on by the other mortal life.
But for now, where are we going with this? I guess in the future, we won't be able to see any more local, that make this tiny island interesting anymore.
sad but reality.
thank you my friend.

Yes, that is because people no longer believe that the old book has something to say about the limits of private land ownership.
