Late lake day

Good afternoon good afternoon everyone, I hope everyone is having a good day today! Yesterday was Mother’s Day. I hope all the moms out there had a fabulous day! Anyways, me and my good buddy Zek had went out to the lake yesterday a little later then anticipated. But was a nice day out that’s for sure. Rained a little in the morning, cleared up around noon. My buddy had called me up and asked if I wanted to go out to the lake. I said sure. So we went and grabbed some beer and a jar of Apple Pie moonshine, good stuff! So we had a little bit of a drive ahead of us. We went out to this place called Love Colony. The road you go down funny enough is called Love Colony Road. So we got there around 3:30-4:00 in the afternoon. Once we got there we had a nice mile and a half hike to get to the water. Boy was that fun. We got about halfway there to the lake and I ended up slipping and falling on my ass… Got up and was like what the hell!?!? My buddy laughed at me first then asked if I was alright. What are friends for. We continued our trek to the water and finally got there. We had noticed the water was about a foot higher then usual. Nothing to be too concerned about unless you wanna hit the rocks when you jump in.

Before we had jumped in I had noticed that there was a new rope hanging down from one of the trees hanging above the water. The highest cliff to jump off of is about 30-45 feet high. Little bit of an adrenaline rush if you haven’t done it before. Then they have a little 10-15 foot as well as a little 6 foot ledge. One of my favorite places to go swimming during the spring/summer!!!

There was a beautiful sunset we got to enjoy as well. I wouldn’t mind bringing my fishing stuff down and fishing there as well. We seen a few fish jumping outta the water while we were down there!
