Hello to all HashKings Fans! 🥳 (who also play Splinterlands hopefully 😜)

Well, this is a rather LATE tournament recap for me. I only realised I missed this particular one out after going through all my completed tournaments. 😱 Better late than never as I would usually say I guess?

As I've said before, I personally enjoy these tournaments which are organized with the NOVICE League Cap requirements. I find that this makes it readily accessible to everyone instead of only players who've got a strong deck. Other than the HashKings promo tournaments which I'm now participating in regularly, the other one is the WOO @wrestorgonline Saturday Slam. Unfortunately (in my opinion), that has lately changed from the "all inclusive" NOVICE to SILVER league. 😱😭 (hint hint as always @bookerman? 😜🤣)

I have also noticed that there hasn't been any HashKings Splinterlands tournament in the past 2 weeks. 😭 I think this tournament review is probably the last of the lot. I will cross my fingers in the hope that HashKings revives their promo tournaments sometime again in the future. 🤞

This is my 6th time taking part in the HashKings/Splinterlands tournament again. This tournament is conducted to promote the launch of HashKings latest Gen 3 Avatar NFT packs. Once again, to any Splinterlands player who might not be aware, HashKings @hashkings has been organising a semi regular Splinterlands tournament with really attractive prizes! 🤑🎁🎉

I can't exactly pinpoint a regular day in which it takes place, but there've been several conducted with a regular frequency for the past few months. It has an entry fee of just 40 DEC! That might sound like quite a sum for an entry fee but as long as you finish in the top 75, you will definitely get a minimum prize of 40 DEC in return. All the tournaments thus far have NOT had more than that number of participants. That effectively makes it a free competition to try your skill at winning some attractive prizes. 🥳

The battle for the top was closely contested with 2 players tied for 1st with a score of 19W/5L/0D. The fight for 3rd place was similarly competitive with a tied score of 18W/6L. In the end, tiebreaker points decided who finished in the 3 podium positions. 😱🎉

The tournament takes place over 2 rounds and it really takes something to chalk up such an impressive winning ratio.

My own performance was pretty good I guess? Even though I narrowly missed out on 1st by just 1 win, I still ended up in 3rd! Any of the 3 podium positions would have yielded the same top prize of 1 HK Gen 3 pack. 🎁 I can't complain with such generous prizes. 😜

The battle format is actually consists of TWO 24-hour rounds. The first round sees everyone competing against each other with just the top 50% advancing to the second round. From there, another round of matches are played against each other to eventually decide the winner!

Here's a quick preview of all the battles I fought en route to my final placing. Great battles from all my worthy opponents, it was an honour fighting against you. 👍 Whether it's a win or loss, I take every battle as a learning experience - especially more so for any really close fights. 😉

(Once again, there were quite a number of "no-shows" this time round, literally gifting me with "free" wins. Not that I'm complaining though 🤣, a win is a win! 🎉)
