It is back to the "normal" WOO Saturday Slams after the previous April Fools/ Wrestlemania 2023 special weekend. In other news, I've noticed that @woo-events has reinstated the Bronze League version for this week's Saturday Slam. Finally! 🤣
I've said repeatedly for many weeks (months perhaps?) that the Silver League restrictions make it inaccessible to large number of people. Considering that the Saturday Slam is to build awareness about Wrestling Organization Online aka WOO, exposing it to the greatest number of people possible should be the aim.
P.S.A: The $5 WOO Land discount from burning 500 WOO Tokens will soon be removed. The last day of this discount will be on the 31st May. Based on the current price of WOO tokens, this is a MASSIVE discount. 500 WOO tokens cost only about 10 cents or so. 🤑

Once again, to any Splinterlands player who might not be aware, WOO @wrestorgonline actually organises a weekly Splinterlands tournament with really attractive prizes! 🤑🎁🎉
It takes place every Saturday (depending on your Timezone) and has an entry fee of just 1 DEC! Yup, you heard right. 1 DEC means the entry is practically free of charge! That means there's literally no reason not to take part at all 😜. There is zero risk involved and all you got to do is show up and have fun, and who knows? You might even perform well enough to take home some great prizes! 🥳

With all that being said, here's a quick overview of my battles and results for last week's WOO SATURDAY SLAM tournament. ⚔️🛡️
This was a really competitive weekend! The top 3 were all tied with the exact same 13-0 score. This is as close as it gets and we definitely had to go for the photo finish 🤣. Tie breaker points had to unfortunately come into play in order to split everyone apart. 😱🎉
My own overall score was actually pretty good this time round with a score of 10W/3L. However, I still failed to make it for any prizes with such fierce competition. I would say I was pleasantly surprised by the number of wins I managed to achieve though. My deck is nowhere near the Silver League level and punching way above my weight is satisfaction enough for me.
Once again, I don't think I will ever be able to compete properly without buying/renting a full levelled Silver deck. I had a few good victories against the odds though. Some losses were also due to losing by the fine margins due to level disadvantages.
Fortunately, the tournament has finally reinstated the Bronze League option, so that should be a thing of the past from the next week onwards.

Here's a quick preview of all the battles I fought en route to my final placing. Great battles from all my worthy opponents, it was an honour fighting against you. 👍 Whether it's a win or loss, I take every battle as a learning experience - especially more so for any really close fights. 😉
(Once again, there were quite a number of "no-shows" this time round, literally gifting me with "free" wins. Not that I'm complaining though 🤣, a win is a win! 🎉)
