Here's my 76th Splinterlands Guild Brawl Report for PIZZA 2 The Deep Dish. 🍕⚔️🛡️

It's the ✨🏅✨Gold Foil Chaos Legion Fray no.12✨🏅✨ for the 59th week in a row for me.

The win percentage has barely changed with the last brawl being an even number of wins and losses. If we do want to be extra nit picky, then I guess I dropped slightly by 0.1 of a percent. 🤣

Surprisingly, I managed to get enough MERITS for another Gladius pack. I had not expected one that soon after just purchasing one the week before. I think the bulk of it probably came from the End of Season chests. I'd usually count this as a negative, but since the new soulbound summoners allow for Gladius cards to be used in general gameplay, my impression might have changed slightly.

Unfortunately, the contents of said pack were pretty disappointing. Not much I can do but to cross my fingers and hope the next time will prove to be better.

🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀 Fingers crossed for a Gold Foil (Legendary!!!) I hope 🤣🤑 for my future Gladius packs. (or any packs/rewards chest for that matter 😉)

With all that said, lets FINALLY get down to a review and quick analysis of my battles 🧐⚔️🛡️, or in some cases where my opponent fled 🏃🏻💨 - non battles 😨.

_{Hopefully Lady Luck continues to shine on me 🍀🍀🍀 and I don't get too many weird ruleset combinations which will completely screw up my limited Gold Foil selection of cards. (🤣 yeah, that's how terrible I am, to have to rely on luck for my wins)}

_{Some thoughts I have about my exploits in the Gold Frays. 💭🤔
I feel like I'm winning because my opponent has even less Gold Foil cards available to him than I do. Personally, I find it slightly flattering to me. The teams I field are definitely not the absolute strongest, but more of what is available to me.
It also doesn't account for HOW I win some of the fights though. I've realised that a fair number of them are from opponents who just gave up and did not even face me in battle. ⚔️⚔️⚔️
My choice of picking up the Gold Foil frays is to simply give the Guild a better chance at accumulating more wins, seeing especially that IN THE PAST, many Gold Frays were left empty. Even if I were to lose everything and win just 1 match, it would definitely help in securing a better finishing position overall. 🥇🥈🥉}

WON.

I initially expected this to be a very close fight. However, I think 3 cards were what made a huge difference and turned this into an absolute trashing.

• Harklaw was absolutely amazing as the Main Tank with his SHIELD ability shutting down all the physical damage attacks.
• Magi Necrosi absolutely devastated the opponent's low HP healer and ranged units with it's Magic Attacks penetrating the armour AND SNIPE ability bypassing the tanks.
• Weirding Warrior completed negated the high armoured units with it's SHATTER.

A most satisfying victory. 🎉

WON.

With such a horribly self defeating ruleset combo of THORNS, MELEE and POISON, my aim was to field a team with as much armour and health as possible. This battle wouldn't be about who dealt the most damage, but who could stay alive the longest without killing themselves first.

My choice of Arkemis the Bear was what would eventually prove the difference. His additional armour bestowed on my team, combined with his enormous health pool provided me the extra edge to outlast my opponent. 🎉

LOST.

This was entirely my fault. I made a huge mistake going for an ALL MAGIC team when there was such a high chance that the opponent would pick Thaddius Brood as his summoner choice. As expected, I was completely countered and lost terribly. 😭

I wasn't too bad overall. I'm just slightly miffed that I made such a rookie mistake with my choice of team in the match I lost. This is a lesson learnt and hopefully it won't be repeated again. 😅

_{I feel it's important that Guilds are able to fill out all the frays - even the significantly "harder" Gold ones. It is very likely that most guilds (at our level) skip the Gold frays completely, or are unable to even field a team if they've got no Gold Foil Summoners. This therefore leads to a better overall score.}

PIZZA 2 Guild managed to finish in 2nd place! 🏆🏆🏆

This turned out to be a closer fight than I'd expected. At one point of time, I noticed that the first placed guild was far and away ahead of everyone else. Unfortunately, we couldn't quite make up that huge gap and were just 2 wins away from catching them.

On a sidenote, we've still got some unfilled frays too so...
