It's back to the more financial aspects of the game itself with this announcement from WOO all those months ago. Interestingly, it wasn't even about the WOO Token or the game itself too!
That day saw WOO become a Hive Witness!
This is more technical than I can explain but it boils down to the very essence of the blockchain itself. The Hive Blockchain is a decentralized network that relies on witnesses to produce blocks and validate transactions.
WOO's undertaking to run a node is an attempt to take on some responsibility of HIVE itself. Witnesses are very important to the health of HIVE and I feel that this shows that WOO is making a statement that they're invested in the entire chain they've decided to build their game on.
I've thrown my support their way ever since they made this announcement back then, and you can still support them NOW too! Just go to https://peakd.com/me/witnesses and search for "wrestorgonline" in that list where you can then vote for them. 👍

Witness are the people who help to run the chain, and are voted by everyone who has a Hive account. It is your chance and right to have a say in who run things here. Although you may think your single vote won't matter much, like all democratic elections it is your right and I would highly recommend you to exercise it, it is after all, a right that many people around the world fight and die for.
You can go through the witness list to see how they contribute to Hive, and if you don't know which witness to vote for, you can always proxy your vote to someone you trust on Hive.
