1972 1oz Silver Universaro World Trade Round

Some of the silver made prior to the 80s featured some unique designs. A lot of the rounds made by private mints didn't survive, so many of them are considered "vintage" and command a small premium over melt value. You don't come across them often, so when you find them, you sometimes have to be quick to snag them.

There were a lot of private mints making "World Trade" rounds. This particular round was minted by P & B Minting from 1972 to 1975. (Source)

In good condition, these typically fetch $10 over spot. This one looks like it may have been a pocket piece based on the wear. Considering I only paid $1 over spot, I can't complain. It's going in the fondle stash, so it'll be at home with the other toned and worn pieces I like to take out every so often and just handle without fear of diminishing any collector's value.

If you can find one of these at good price, they're a fun design and would make a great addition to your stack!
