2022 1oz Palau Silver Scarab - Ramses II
I enjoy Egyptian designs, especially scarabs. When I saw this "coin," I knew I had to have it! Plus, you can't go wrong when they embed a crystal in it, right? I already had picked up Palau's 2021 King Tut scarab, so this one was a no-brainer! 😁
Obverse

I didn't want to handle the coin, so I opted for a stock pick. Oddly enough, this is considered the "obverse." It depicts a winged scarab above, with the Eye of Ra to the left, and the ubiquitous ankh, which represents eternal life, to the right. Below this all is the Palau coat of arms.
Reverse
This scarab features a beautiful red Austrian crystal embedded in it. Below it are two names of Ramses II in hieroglyphics.

The cost of these is a lot cheaper than the $201.42 I paid for the King Tut scarab. This one only cost $64.95, which isn't bad at all by comparison. I'm seeing a lot of online places pricing these at $100+, so it looks like I already made money on it if I were to sell, but this is one of those pieces I will likely never sell unless it suddenly goes up 10x in price.
