2023 1oz Silver Niue Camelot - Arthur Pendragon
Knights in armor with swords, fighting in battle makes for a great action scene. It's even more stunning when these images are cast into silver! Niue coins are known for their quality. Niue normally contracts with Scottsdale Mint for their coins, but this time they partnered with Asturmint. Even though I've never heard of Asturmint, I liked the pictures I saw and took a chance on it.
Obverse
The obverse doesn't disappoint! The center features the Niue seal. In a circle around this are the shields representing the Knights of The Round Table and King Arthur, with swords placed between each of the shields. This is such a cool concept and design! The shields have a proof-like appearance to them, and I like the brushstroke texturing for the background. This was executed very well!
Reverse
The reverse shows King Arthur triumphantly felling an opponent and knocking his helmet off. I love when the designers put an "action shot" on the coin, instead of a stationary figure. It gives it a lot more eye appeal, and I think this is far superior to the Royal Mint's version, which gave King Arthur a strange looking facial expression.
Specifications
I paid $39.95 for this, and it was worth it! My only complaint was the air tite capsule it came in was heavily scuffed in the center, on the side showing King Arthur in battle. Fortunately, I had a spare air tite for this size of coin, and was able to swap it out. If you like knights, battles, etc., don't miss your chance to get this coin!

You will get a lot of scuffed capsules when you get a good price, I've seen that a lot, but they are cheap to replace but sometimes really hard to get out of the original one. Very cool coin, they produce so many it's hard to keep up with them all!

Yeah, it was annoying. Even with my Benchmade AFO2 it was a challenge getting the capsule open.

Mainly, I buy the fancier pieces to keep from getting bored stacking straight bullion.
Also, a lot of the higher end pieces I'll likely trade for gold later, once the price has appreciated more.
