Costco's Kirkland Brand Quality Is Slipping

Maybe it's my imagination, but it seems like the quality of some Costco in-house products has gone downhill. I'm referring to the "Kirkland" brand they carry. At first I thought I was imagining things, but there are too many issues to just be a string of coincidences.

I started having suspicions when the toilet paper we normally bought seemed thinner. It was ripping far too easily. It seemed like it was worse than the stuff you find in the highway gas station bathrooms.

Next, there was the baby wipes. The opening to get the wipes out was maybe one inch wide and three inches long. Look at how ridiculously small this is!

When you've finally fought with it enough to get a wipe out, you'd end up with two or three stuck together. You ended up burning through wipes because you accidentally grabbed more than you needed, and the opening was to small to try and stuff the unused ones back into the packaging.

Even their milk cartons are garbage. After you remove the cap, they have a pull ring you use to unseal the milk. The only problem is that half of the time the ring breaks, so you end up having to stab a hole in the carton to get the milk out!

It's gotten to the point I refuse to buy anything that isn't name brand. It's sad, but it's worth the slight premium to not deal with the frustration. I expected better from Costco, but it seems like even they've resorted to cutting costs even at the expense of quality.
