Guilty Pleasures - Raid: Shadow Legends

It's been a little over a month since @snook got me addicted to Raid: Shadow Legends. What started out as simply helping out a friend, turned into something I enjoy playing to de-stress.

I can't really play traditional video games hardly because of the boys, so mobile games are ideal for me. I enjoy strategy games, so Raid ended up being right up my alley!

The Team
I'm still working on assembling a good team. It can be challenging, because the characters you get from different "shard pulls" are random. While this makes it interesting, because you go up against a variety of teams, it's also maddening sometimes when you can't seem to get decent characters round out your team.

Here's why current team is at for now.

Adelyn is my healer and does good damage on her own. She has a ridiculous amount of health, so she also acts as a semi-tank.

Apothecary is a secondary healer who also provides a speed boost for the team, so they can attack faster. He has decent defense. While his healing is limited to one character, it refills their health meter much more than Adelyn's healing spell.

Armstrong slows down my opponent's turn meter while speeding up my own, so I can use each character's special abilities sooner. He does decent damage. He can also add a "Leech" debuff, so each character on my team recovers a percentage of bonus health for normal damage dealt to my opponents.

Tuhak is my major secondary damage dealer and semi-tank, as damage done to him reduces by 20% when his health drops below 50%. He also has a chance of reducing the opposing team's speed.

Challenge and Comraderie
I enioy a challenge, so levelling up my characters, their skills and gear is fun. It's a great way to occupy my mind and relax.

To make things even more fun, @enginewitty created a dedicated channel in the #pimp Discord server for us all to chat, and created the PIMP clan in Raid.

We're just finishing up our latest clan vs clan competition and it looks like we're on track to smoke the competition!

I'm looking forward to possibly pulling some stronger heroes later on and bolstering my team even further. The challenge continues!

I played RSL almost 2 years, and it's fun when you're not end-game.
You can't really play this game f2p, you need to buy shards and energy and when you get to end-game it becomes boring too fast.
I'm glad I got out of it before I invested too much money in it.

So my advice is, play it while it's still fun. But as soon as you hit the paywall get out of it, because it's a bottomless pit.
