Paying the Price for Sarcasm with My Bullion Dealer

I belong to a bullion buyer's group on Telegram called the Inflation Mitigation Lounge. It's run by a man who goes by the name of Bullion Brother. The prices in there are far better than you would get buying through 95% of online bullion dealers, which is quite a feat. In the beginning I price checked him against all other competitors I could find and he beat their price at least 90% of the time. I eventually gave up price checking and he's become the only person I really buy from for bullion.

The Changing of A Monarch
There were always jokes about "Lizzy" being on the UK Commonwealth nations' coins and we all got a chuckle. Once she died and they started putting Charles on the coins, it was as if the floodgates of ridicule had been opened! In more recent months, it was not uncommon to see at least three or four wisecracks about Charles, whether it was to mock his ears, his nose, his "sausage hands" or his overall appearance. I personally think he's a terrible human being, so of course I was one of the ones commenting.

Beating A Dead Horse
At first it was funny, but then it changed. All of the new coins had Charles on it, and in any given week you'd see six or seven posts in the group with his face on it. The mockery would start, and I'll admit I was all too eager to dish out the mockery.

Eventually it took its toll, and Bullion Brother commented that he was working hard to bring us great deals despite who was on the coin, and that the constant remarks were becoming irritating.

Paying Penance
He was right. It was his business he worked hard to build, and the comments were getting excessive. We truly appreciate the hard work he puts in to bring us great deals on metals. As such, the group does a good job of policing itself.

Bullion Brother made a good point. Unless we are buying something, we're not making it worth his time to spend time searching for deals, only for us to mock Charles being on them. I came up with the idea of a "Penance BIN." The idea is if you see an item you want to purchase, you reply to the post with "BIN," which stands for Buy It Now. The rule we came up with is "One comment, one penance BIN."

My Penance BIN
For my snarky comment in the screenshot earlier, I present to you my "Penance BIN."

This is a 1oz Viking round made by the Mason Mint. It's not limited mintage and is very low premium, but has a great design of a Viking on one side, and a Viking ship on the other side.

The round ended up going in my silver stash box, but I'm tempted to save up and buy a tube of these since they have such a cool design.

Do you have something you've purchased because you felt bad for irritating someone or making things more difficult than needed?

I'm pretty new, so I think I have been able to avoid ticking anyone off too bad so far. I agree with you though, he is a pretty horrible person.

Fortunately, my dealer takes it well and appreciates we try to moderate ourselves and reign things in.

I'm new to silvergoldstackers ,NOT in hive, I joined this panel in July 2020,I'm not in any community I will continue working like this.
To your question, I have never bought something simply to irritate someone, when I make a decision I do it after meticulous analysis.
