The BelOMO Jeweler's Loupe 10x Magnifier
For those who love to hunt for Sterling silver, pan for gold or looking for mint errors on coins, the naked eye isn't always enough to see hallmarks and small errors. A typical magnifying glass won't usually cut it either. This is where a Jeweler's Loupe comes in handy.

So Many Brands
There are many brands to choose from. Some, like the BelOMO, are a simple lens and cover. Others, like the JARLINK 30x/60x or Gain Express 10x, allow you to light up the object while you're looking at it, and are relatively in expensive at around $10-20.
Durability
Part of what separates the BelOMO 10x Loupe from other inexpensive models is the quality of materials used to make it durable. BelOMO is short for the "Belarusian Optical Mechanical Association" who also makes lenses for telescopes, cameras and other optical components.
The housing is steel, which allows you to take it with you without having to worry about scratching the lens or damaging it if it were accidentally dropped.
Lens Quality
A cheaper Loupe will typically mean a cheaper lens, made of plastic. The BelOMO 10x's lenses are optical quality glass and individually certified, just as is done with camera lenses. The lense is made up of three different types of optical lenses that are bonded together. The end result is a clear image with no color distortion.
Price
Due to the higher quality of craftsmanship and materials, the BelOMO 10x Loupe costs around $39, compared to cheaper models with plastic lenses and bodies. Unlike other models, this Loupe will last you a lifetime at home or on the go.
Final Thoughts
There are certainly Loupe models, like the JARLINK 30x/60x or Gain Express 10x, which are half the price (Around $20) of the BelOMO 10x Loupe, because they use cheaper plasticd lenses that will not provide the same level of clarity. They also will not be ideal for travel, since they lack the metal protective housing to keep the lens safe. If you're wanting a quality Loupe you can take with you to look for hallmarks on Sterling silver, pan for gold, etc., this Loupe will not let you down.

I think this is a great investment! Currently I only have a cheap one I picked up at the flea market and later I found it on these Chinese sites for even less, lol. I rarely use it so for now I'm good but I will keep this one in mind if I ever buy a GOOD one.. Thanks for sharing!
