(Equal Opportunity) a rule that favors "melee" attacks.

Basically, the main reason why the "Death" team is so effective against this rule, is because most players commonly associate this rule with "Melee" attacks, since, in general, the monsters that bring this ability by default, have this type of attack, so, in this way, using the "Splinter of Death" combining our summoner with any other card that has the ability to "Demoralize", this will allow us to double or even triple the attack of any opponent's unit willing to attack in this way, this means that, predicting some of the opponent's moves is very possible.

It is for this reason that, to neutralize this type of attacks (Opportunistic), the only thing we must do is to analyze the meaning of this rule and consequently play against what it proposes, I imagine that you will wonder why against, because this is simple to answer, since, if we play in favor of this, both players will go with similar alignments and game structures, in that sense, to assure a victory when in this situation the probabilities are very equal in almost 50/50, it is not profitable for us, because we are betting that it will work, in this sense, it is not always good to play aggressively, everything will depend on the context of the battle, this is important to understand, because, later on new mechanics will be added to the game and believe me you will need to have this knowledge as a base.

The best trident against (Equal Opportunity)

I have to emphasize that, this "Strategy" is unique and exclusive to be applied to the "Wild" format, since one of its main components is composed by a card from the bounty SET under the "Beta" edition, moreover, it is a card that I talked a lot about here in my blog and that is very powerful and useful if we know exactly when and how to use it, so, next, I will present you the best trident in the "Death Splinter" to play against "Equal Opportunity" and a powerful alignment under the "Melee" attack type:

• Zintar Mortalis: As you all know, one of my favorite summoners for him (Death Splinter) in this "Wild" format is undoubtedly "Zintar Mortalis", but, he is not the only one, since most of the summoners of this team are quite useful in different situations, but, talking specifically about (Equal Opportunity), this summoner is the appropriate one to play, since it decreases in -1 point the "Melee" attack that our opponent has prepared for us, so, my recommendation is that, rent and/or buy it if it is in your possibilities, this is a very old edition card and its value will always be higher than most, at least within its same rarity, so, this is the first thing to form the trident.

• Lord Arianthus: This card I must say that it really is one of my favorites in the "Splinter Neutral", and yes, this is one of the key pieces of the "Trident" that I mentioned before, because, its abilities help us that this card can have a great resistance in the field, this is because it has both (Shield and Thorns), both necessary and that work very well against physical attacks, in this case those units of the opponent that attack with "Opportunity" to our cards, in addition, this card is perfect for this type of rules, as it has an excellent feature that allows to attract most of the attacks towards it in early rounds of the game. Of course, this is a born "Tank", so, its preferred position will always be the first position in most cases, this can change if Equal Opportunity is combined with another rule, although, this is something I will talk about in another post, I am referring to the rules that override the effects of others.

• Harklaw: This is a very useful card although at first it may not seem so, and yes, this is the one that complements the perfect "Trident" against "Equal Opportunity", the reasons for saying this, has to do with its set of skills and its intrinsic characteristics that it has, so, to start, it has the type of attack "Melee", which benefits us a lot to have a good offensive against my opponent's units, on the other hand, is a very resistant card, has very good health and shield points, so it is perfect for the task, in addition, as if that were not enough, the ability of "Shield" allows you to reduce the damage of these attacks and to culminate, not only can attack and defend at the same time, but also works as support, having the ability called (Demoralize), which can decrease by -1 point the type of attack "Melee" that has our opponent.

In this section, I will show how to play this "Trio" of cards to dismantle a strategy and alienation of the opponent that is most likely based on the "Melee" type of attack for this type of rules that basically ask us to play with physical attack cards; and I say ask because the reality is that this can be changed, remember when at the beginning I said that you had to play against, well not everyone does this, and that's fine, because your card choices have to depend on the rule, but, it is not that it is a mandatory requirement, since the game strategy predominates in several cases, and more when you can determine in a large percentage what type of alienation will use our opponent, so without further detours, let's go with the explanation:

If you take a good look at the image, I am sure you will clearly notice the difference between our alignments, basically, my opponent played with 66% in his lineup with "Melee" attack cards, something you can easily predict thanks to the "Equal Opportunity" rule, the rest of his cards were "Support" cards, but, it was a mistake to play them, since usually, these cards do not have many life points, which makes them easy prey for any alienation I face and if you see the battle, it was obvious that my offensive would go straight to these weaker cards first, but, before starting the battle, the work of my lineup was already done.

This is so because of the trident I played and its abilities that I explained in the previous section, also, taking advantage of the fact that the weakest are the first to be attacked, placing a card with the "Martyr" ability between 2 of the strongest cards in my game structure, was a good move, as it strengthened my attack and additionally, my opponent's attacks went straight to my battle "Tank", which was my plan from the beginning, since, a particularity of (Lord Arianthus), is that, as he has less life points than the rest, the next target that my opponent would have was 100% sure to be this card, which is one of the most resistant cards of my game, this allowed the rest of my cards to attack the weakest cards of my opponent, while they are weakened and entertained with my Lord Arianthus.

La respuesta a esta pregunta la he dicho en varias ocasiones, en especial en aquellas publicaciones en las que hablo de la “Fortaleza” de este equipo, básicamente se trata de que, este elemento es capaz de disminuir el impacto que puede ocasionar cualquier tipo de ataque existente en el juego, esto quiere decir que, tenemos las posibilidades de siempre rebajar los puntos de ataque de cualquier monstruo, siempre y cuando tengamos alguna certeza de que es lo que jugara nuestro adversario, pero: ¿De qué forma podemos saber que jugara nuestro oponente? es muy interesante cierto? Sin embargo, el tema central aquí, es porque es tan efectivo en contra de esta especifica regla de batalla llamada (Equal Opportunity), pues lo explicaré a continuación:

(Equal Opportunity) una regla que favorece los ataques “Cuerpo a Cuerpo”

Básicamente, la razón principal por la que el equipo de “Muerte” es tan efectivo en contra esta regla, se debe a que la mayoría de jugadores comúnmente asocian esta regla con ataques “Cuerpo a Cuerpo”, ya que, por lo general, los monstruos que traen esta habilidad por defecto, tienen este tipo de ataque, por lo que, de esta forma, utilizar el “Splinter de Muerte” combinando nuestro invocador con cualquier otra carta que posea la habilidad de “Demoralize”, esto nos permitirá disminuir el doble o hasta el triple del ataque de cualquier unidad del oponente dispuesta a atacar de esta forma, esto quiere decir que, predecir algunos movimientos del adversario es muy posible.

Es por esta razón que, para neutralizar este tipo de ataques (Oportunistas), lo único que debemos hacer es analizar el significado de esta regla y en consecuencia jugar en contra de lo que propone, imagino que se preguntaran porque en contra, pues esto es sencillo de responder, ya que, si jugamos a favor de esta, ambos jugadores iremos con alineaciones y estructuras de juego similares, en tal sentido, asegurar una victoria cuando en esta situación las probabilidades están muy igualadas en casi un 50/50, no es rentable para nosotros, por el hecho de que estamos apostando a que funcione, en tal sentido, no siempre es bueno jugar de forma agresiva, todo dependerá del contexto que presente la batalla, esto es importante entenderlo, porque, más adelante serán agregadas al juego nuevas mecánicas y créanme que necesitarán tener este conocimiento de base.

El mejor tridente en contra de (Equal Opportunity)

Tengo que resaltar que, esta “Estrategia” es única y exclusiva para que sea aplicada al formato “Salvaje”, ya que uno de sus componentes principales está compuesto por una carta del SET de recompensas bajo el marco de la edición “Beta”, además, es una carta de la que hablado mucho aquí en mi blog y que es muy poderosa y útil si sabemos exactamente cuando y como usarla, así que, a continuación, les presentaré el mejor tridente en el “Splinter de Muerte” para jugar en contra de “Equal Oportunity” y una alineación poderosa bajo el tipo de ataque “Cuerpo a Cuerpo”:

• Zintar Mortalis: Como todos saben, uno de mis invocadores favoritos para él (Splinter de Muerte) en este formato “Salvaje” es sin duda alguna “Zintar Mortalis”, pero, no es el único, ya que la mayoría de los invocadores de este equipo son bastante útiles en distintas situaciones, pero, hablando específicamente de (Equal Opportunity), este invocador es el apropiado para jugar, puesto que disminuye en -1 punto el ataque “Cuerpo a Cuerpo” que tiene preparado nuestro adversario para nosotros, por lo que, mi recomendación es que, la alquilen y/o compren si es que está en sus posibilidades, esta es una carta de edición muy antigua y su valor siempre será mayor al de la mayoría, al menos dentro de su misma rareza, así que, esto es lo primero para formar el tridente.

• Lord Arianthus: Esta carta debo decir que de verdad es una de mis favoritas en el “Splinter Neutral”, y sí, esta es una de las piezas claves del “Tridente” que mencione antes, ya que, sus habilidades nos ayudan a que esta carta pueda tener una gran resistencia en el campo, esto se debe a que posee tanto (Shield como Thorns), ambas necesarias y que funcionan muy bien en contra de ataques físicos, en esta caso aquellas unidades del oponente que atacaran con “Opportunity” a nuestras cartas, además, esta carta es perfecta para este tipo de reglas, ya que tiene una particularidad excelente que permite atraer la mayoría de los ataques hacia ella en rondas tempranas de la partida. Por supuesto, este es un “Tanque” nato, así que, su posición predilecta siempre será la primera posición en la mayoría de los casos, esto puede cambiar si Equal Opportunity se combina con otra regla, aunque, esto es algo de lo que hablaré en otra publicación, me refiero a las reglas que anulan los efectos de otras.

• Harklaw: Esta es una carta muy útil aunque en principio no lo parezca, y sí, esta es la que complementa el “Tridente” perfecto contra “Equal Opportunity”, las razones para decir esto, tiene que ver con su conjunto de habilidades y sus características intrínsecas que tiene, así que, para iniciar, posee el tipo de ataque “Cuerpo a Cuerpo”, el cual nos beneficia mucho para tener una buena ofensiva en contra de las unidades de mi oponente, por otro lado, es una carta muy resistente, tiene muy buenos puntos de vida y escudo, por lo que es perfecto para la tarea, además, por si fuera poco, las habilidad de “Shield” le permite reducir el daño de estos ataques y para culminar, no solo puede atacar y defender al mismo tiempo, sino que también funciona como apoyo, al tener la habilidad llamada (Demoralize), la cual, puede disminuir en -1 punto el tipo de ataque “Cuerpo a Cuerpo” que posee nuestro adversario.

En esta sección, mostraré de que forma jugar este “Trío” de cartas para desmantelar una estrategia y alienación del oponente que se base muy seguramente en el tipo de ataque “Cuerpo a Cuerpo” para este tipo de reglas que, básicamente piden que juguemos con cartas de ataque físico; y digo piden por qué la realidad es que esto se puede cambiar, recuerdan cuando al principio dije que había que jugar en contra, pues esto no todo el mundo lo hace, y está bien, porque tus elecciones de cartas tienen que depender de la regla, pero, no es que sea un requisito obligatorio, ya que la estrategia de juego predomina en varios casos, y más cuando puedes determinar en un gran porcentaje que tipo de alienación usará nuestro adversario, así que sin más rodeos, vamos con la explicación:

Si observan bien la imagen, estoy segura de que notaran claramente la diferencia entre nuestras alienaciones, básicamente, mi oponente juego con un 66% en su alineación con cartas de ataque “Cuerpo a Cuerpo”, algo que puede predecir fácilmente gracias a la regla “Equal Opportunity”, el resto de sus cartas fueron de “Apoyo”, pero, fue un error jugarlas, ya que por lo general, estas cartas no poseen muchos puntos de vida, lo que las vuelve presa fácil para cualquier alienación que enfrente y si ven la batalla, era obvio que mi ofensiva iría directo a estas cartas más débiles primero, pero, antes de comenzar la misma, el trabajo de mi alineación ya estaba hecho.

Esto es así por el tridente que jugué y sus habilidades que explique en la sección anterior, además, aprovechando que los más débiles son los primeros en ser atacados, colocar una carta con la habilidad de “Martyr” entre 2 de las cartas más fuertes de mi estructura de juego, fue un buen acierto, ya que fortaleció mi ataque y adicional, los ataques de mi oponente se dirigieron directo a mi “Tanque” de batalla, lo que era mi plan desde el principio, ya que, una particularidad de (Lord Arianthus), es que, como posee menos puntos de vida que el resto, el siguiente blanco que mi opoennte tendria era 100% seguro que seria esta carta, la cual, es una de as mas resistentes de mi juego, esto permitio que el resto de mis cartas atacaran a las mas debiles de mi opoennte, mientras estan debilitadas y entretenidas con mi Lord Arianthus.

Con esta explicación y esta nueva estrategia para enfrentar a "Equal Opportunity", he terminado una publicación mas que espero les haya servido de mucho para entender el porque de la elección de cada carta, es esencial que revisen este post, porque el analisis detras de lo que es una sola regla, puede hacerte ganar una batalla de forma muy sencilla, tan solo hace fata comprender su efecto y actuar en concecuencia a este, ademas, en otro momento les enseñare a utilizar en una batalla todas las herramientas de eleccion de cartas para que les sea mucho mas facil buscar una carta sin importar el "Splinter".
