Hello,
Always attentive to your HIVE suggestions. I confess that the existence of HP, HBD and HIVE confuses my brain a little π π π€
I already understand a little more with publications I have read. But because I'm new here, there are still things that escape me π€
For example, it mentions the importance of Hive Power in the value of our positive vote. It turns out that I like to delegate Hive Power to communities and elements that I consider predominant for all work on the ecosystem. As I gain Hive Power I will increase my delegations.
But I saw that by delegating Hive Power I lose the value of my voteπ²
I don't know what is most advantageous for ecosystem.
Can you give me your opinion?
Continue in your wonderful nature where green cures everything π π΄ π³
Strong hug π€
Warm greetings again!
I can help explain HIVE, HP, and HBD. HIVE is the base token of the Hive Blockchain, and since it's in liquid form, it can be sold, sent to other accounts, converted into HBD, or powered up. Hive Power (HP) is HIVE that has been staked, or powered up. HP is the main governance token of the Blockchain, allowing us not only to vote on other Hivers' posts, comments, and replies (in 7 days, after the post/comment/reply pays out, you'll receive half of what you voted), but also to vote for Hive witnesses and on proposals. Our Hive Power is the weight of our influence on the Blockchain, and our capacity to help others. It represents our stake, or ownership, in the Blockchain, so it's very important. HBD is Hive's own decentralized, algorithmically-pegged, stablecoin that always equals a dollar's worth of HIVE. It can also be sold, sent to other accounts, swapped into HIVE, or put into Savings to make use of the 20% APR and monthly compounding interest. HBD takes three days to withdraw from Savings.
No worries! Hive is a big Ecosystem, with a lot going on, so it takes time to take it all in and understand how it all works. Just take it a little at a time, to make it easier to digest.
Yes, when we delegate HP, we 'lend' another account our Hive Power, so our own vote weight goes down, until the delegation is recalled. That's why many community curation accounts provide benefits to delegators. I can tell you how I do it. I delegate 50% of my total Hive Power, which I see as half benefiting the community, and half benefiting me (it's actually more complex, because we're all quite interconnected here, so both sides of my 50% benefit both).
Thank you, yes, that's my plan! I love being so deep in nature!
Warm hug to you too, brother! π π π β¨ π€
Thank you very much once again for your kind and useful information. I've already learned a little more about the complexity of the hive.
Grateful!π
In fact I have well over half in delegations. I have to be more balanced so as not to lose value in the vote.
One mistake I was making is voting too many times a day. I genuinely voted for everything I liked. I read an article that the reasonable limit is 10 votes per day.
Step by step, I improve my knowledge and performance on the network.
Thanks a lot π
You're very welcome, absolutely! I'm happy to help! That's excellent!
Yeah, it's easy to delegate too much. As opposed to recalling the delegations, just wait until you grow your HP to a sufficient degree to where what you're delegated is 50% of your total HP. You can also request a 1-week HP delegation from Ecency for Ecency Points, that's about 200 HP.
If you vote at 100% voting power, then you can only vote 10 times per day. I started that way too. Now I give 10% votes to posts, and 5% votes to comments and replies. That way I can vote hundreds of times every day.
Yes, that's exactly it, you're learning and understanding more about the Blockchain every day, and with that new understanding, you'll be able to do more all the time! Congratulations on your successes so far!
You're deepiy welcome again, most definitely! π π π β¨ π€
Hello,
Thanks for the tips ππ΄π
Warm greetings again! Of course, you're always very welcome! π π π β¨ π€
Thanks a lot ππ΄
You got it, I'm happy to help! π π π β¨ π€
