CTPSB is 4 years old

On the 1st of October 2020, we issued the first CTPSB tokens. This followed a one month period during which people could send hive to the project and for each hive they received 1 CTPSB token when the token was issued.

6956.38 Tokens were emitted with a total value of 6956.38 Hive. Today, 4 years later, there are 9473.87 CTPSB tokens in circulation with a total value of 31'208 Hive. This means that in 4 years, the market cap of CTPSB was multiplied by 4.5. Each token increased in value from 1 Hive to 3.294 hive today. This is a nice growth over 4 years.

The concept is still the same

There have been many changes during these 4 years and we had to cut back on some things and introduce other things to keep the project growing. However, the basic concept is still the same. CTPSB is a token that is backed by a hive account (@ctpsb) and the token grows in value in parallel to the hive power of the underlying account.

Thanks to a burning mechanism and the production of posts with the author rewards that come with it, the account grows much faster than an average account that relies only on curation rewards. During the last months, the short term APR of the CTPSB tokens was therefore around 16% which is about 3-4% more than you could get for normal curation and organic staking rewards...
