Splinterlands - Killing Quora
Splinterlands is a trading card game on the Hive Blockchain. I have been playing this game for many years as it continues to add new dynamics to its ever popular selection of different game play
You can even own and work land if the matches are not your cup of tea so to speak.
Quora Towershead
I consider the Quora Towershead card, one of the most powerful there is in the whole Splinterlands card to collect and add to your battles.
Not only does this card have the bloodlust ability but also heal. And this the first level abilities. The card is considered Epic and with 11 health and magic and melee attacks. I always dread coming up against this card in matches.
Match Rule Set
The rule sets for this match were Standard and you could select any of the Elements available - Fire, Water, Earth, Life, Death, or Dragon. The mana cap was somewhat low at 25.
Match Line Up
Selecting cards for the match was any ones guess. So I decided to go with Lux Vega as my summoner which will add armor, health and speed to each card i add into my lineup
I choose Djinn Oshannus as my tank hoping to offset any magic cards my opponent my select. This card has magic void and phase as its two abilities. I was counting also on the large amount of health to also had to assist with staying alive long into the match.
I really only had one other card in my lineup that could attack each round. I added deeplurker which has the Opportunity ability. This ability comes i very handy to eliminate low health cards that are of benefit to my opponent.
When i saw my opponent’s lineup i was very much dreading the outcome of the match. Not only had they selected Quora but also surrounded it with cards containing the martyr ability. Martyr ability adds 1 point to all stats when that card is killed. I am not liking that my card with opportunity will kill and trigger the martyr ability making Quora even that much more formidable.
My only saving grace was by adding a healer and amor repair cards to my lineup kept my getting to much damage each round that the healer was able to keep up each round.
By the 7th round only Quora was left standing against me. Since it kept healing itself it took a few more rounds to eliminate it. Especially since there were a couple of times which my attacks missed.
I just hope i can remember this lineup so tgat i can use it again in the future as i know Quora will be back and this lineup doesn’t work against lineups which implore the sneak attack.
