Hello Rising Star Gamers

I would like to welcome you all to my Starbits Every Night, a routine post I make on a night time when I play Rising Star Game. In this post I will share a short story about something related with music and later we will have some trivia to get some extra $STARBITS

As today and for this month (not exactly only on January 2024) We will have Old School Kpop theme. It means that all my music here are from the past, a past KPOP artist, or some people call them the first generation of KPOP. This is inspired from reading some blockhead gen-Z worshiping their IDOL as if others are less talented, less succesful and less less less again...

Because I have started getting a good grip on InLeo UI, and I am planning to use it for this month, so I will go with full tension and picking one of the most viral KPOP song in the past... at least its viral in my city, like everyone played that song for an entire half year... Its JTL with their song My Lecon. and there is a strong reason why I publish this one on #FREECOMPLIMENTS community, instead of #THGAMING. You will read more about it on later part below.

THE LEGEND OF GEN 1 KPOP

I am not very sure I would go with this song on the second post about Old School Kpop, because My Lecon was very famous back then not only for the song/single but there was a big controversy about the song itself. It was so controversial that you won't be able to find any movie video or their stage performance for this song.

But I got that Movie Video, right? WRONG!! that's not My Lecon movie video, it was Enter The Dragon movie video but all the sound is replaced by My Lecon song. I was very hesitate to use this movie video however I could not find any replacement... so yeah, I chose to go with this.

JTL & SM ENTERTAINMENT

JTL was a boy group and the naming was actually their name. J for Jang Woo-hyuk, T for Tony Ahn, and L for Lee Jae-won. They were part of H.O.T , one of the top KPOP boy band that time (From 1996 to 2001). H.O.T was very famous not in Korea, but internationally to, They several time won MTV Asia Award. Somehow these three later chose to leave the group and the agency/producer with a bad term.

Even After they left and released this album, they still had a very hard time because their previous producer, SM Entertainment, was doing their best to block this music video from various Korean entertainment company. Things were heated back then, some of they fans even stormed SM Entertainment main building office.

Despite the fame of this song and I believe some of you might have heard this song in TikTok or Youtube Short, the fact is that you can not find any of the Movie Video in youtube. Even until today none (Korean People) dares to cover this song because they don't want any problem with SM. Entertainment

THE RAGE AND CRITICS

The song itself was their critics and complain against their previous producer, the SM Entertainment. They felt the agency did not treat them with respect and fairness

their opening lyric was already describing a dissatisfaction against someone.

My Lecon itself is a slang from My Lesson

I put this post in FreeCompliment and I present this song to all people here who are in struggle and being treated unfair... I hope and pray that you won't give up and find your way to rise again... as these guys, JTL , left their producer who treated them unfairly and managed to get back their career despite all the pressure and blockage sent to them.
