Talk-It-Out-Thursdays The Rise and Fall of DHEDGE

From all the themed post we have in Free Compliments community, this one, the talk it out Thursdays is the one that I always try to avoid... Not because I do not have related topic about it, but its more like I do not like bursting out negativity.

It's a rare thing to see me lose some control and outspoken saying things that I really hate to say those... but it happened some days ago...

On 12 March I decided to take off all my HP delegation from Dhedge. Well its not something huge, its just a puny 2.500 HP but that's almost half of my total HP here. So it can be said that I invest half of my resource in HIVE blockchain on Dhedge.

So some might think what the hell I was doing there... its only for 3 days, only 1 miss, right? Well heck its wrong. Its for days, if I count from the start of HiveSQL recovery, its been so awkward... I mean one time I got double dividends in 2 hours, I checked some did not, and some got more could be tripled or four times.

The problem is one of Dhedge token, DVS, is a comparative token. Its not a fix or absolute value one. It means that better you have 500 DVS and others have 300 DVS, rather than you have 1.000.000 DVS however everyone else have more than you. So when other people get more than me, even I spend more in Delegation... it means I get cheated.

Well it's a sad thing about what wee see happening on Dhedge.

THE EARLY RISE

Many people entered Dhedge project for various reasons, but the most reason was its vote value. People saw some Orcas invested alot and they got some "Ribeye" and "T-Bone" class of upvotes. It is always easy to hope and wish, but not many people reach or get what they want.. The price was not that expensive, and some people said its never be worth of the cost.

I used Dhedge for tipping and getting revenue sharing. Every people use different tribe token tags, the !DHEDGE commands will detect the tag and sent appropriate voting bots of the appropriate tribe tokens, as the tip from ours. So we do not have to invest in many token such as PIMP, ALIVE, PGM, BBH, and many more... just bulk up on DHEDGE and let them do the rest.

Why tipping? because I am small... upvoting people post can be effective if you have good amount of HP, but for small account like me, tipping is the best solution. I do not have to invest a lot, but I could use a share proportion from a pool of resource.

Well.... what ever the reasons that everyone had on the early phase, definitely Dhedge worked well and helped us a lot that time. Not only to individuals, but some communities relied much on Dhedge too because not all community leaders have a good amount of Hive Power (HP)

THE FUTURE

I won't say Dhedge has a bad future, but definitely they have a big challenge a head. One of them is the DVS price that keeps dropping like a roller coaster.

Although DVS price is meant to be highly inflationary, however in Crpto... token price is like everything, the first thing people see first and decide based on it... So sometime bad chart is more than enough to kill your project future.

Well I am out from Dhedge currently, but not totally out. I might be back later, not tomorrow nor in the next 2 months. I need to see it first how the DEV solve their problems first.

I believe Dhedge is a project full of potential. However its not a guarantee positive... You can lose money there or keep losing up opportunities. There are a lot of things they must improve first and the last month Dhedge was proven not ready to be full automatic or autopilot.

I am not a guy who love punishing people or blacklisting something... Religion teaches us to be kind and full of forgiveness, and I tend to follow that teaching. So well, let see in what happens in the future... hopefully they can come back and win my trust again.
