I'll tell you...

1️⃣ I found out about Hive Blog one day when I went to visit a friend of mine, her name is Alejandra. I told her about my efforts to grow my blog on Blogger in order to monetize it. I had already fulfilled most of the requirements (I even invested money), and with a lot of dedication I had formed what I needed to have a decent blog. But I still didn't qualify to monetize it. So she told me about Hive, as several mutual acquaintances were receiving rewards through this network for their original content. I was surprised that such a site existed and I in so much time researching I hadn't heard about it. Alejandra has her user on Hive, @pasiflora, but she had not been able to start as such.

2️⃣ The truth is that I had no prior knowledge.... That's why I was overwhelmed at so much information and possibilities from the start.

3️⃣ Well, I think I could do a whole post explaining the advantages of Hive, but I will mention a few. First of all, the motivation of the reward is very important, because it is another source of income. There is also the fact that it moves us to create, to be original, and that has been an exercise that has helped me to gain some more confidence in myself. I also really like the fact that respect and appreciation in general weighs heavily in the comments... That is a radical difference with the other social networks.

1. How did I find Hive?
   I found out about Hive through Splinterlands. I was looking for a new game to play and stumbled upon the concept of play2earn, it was December 2021, so in the middle/end of the bull run. After playing Splinterlands for some weeks, I joined a guild. Through that guild I discovered that there is Hive and blogging and different layer 2 tokens, dapps, tribes, etc. Step by step I started to discover this 'Hive thing' further.

2. Prior blockchain knowledge?
   After finding Splinterlands and disovering Hive, I started to discover the world of nft's, blockchain, crypto, etc. When I joined Splinterlands / Hive, I had no clue what it was besides having heard of 'Bitcoin', without knowing what a bitcoin was.

3. What did you like about Hive
   To be honest when I just started blogging, I came for the rewards, aka the upvotes because I wanted to fund my Splinterlands cards with them. Nowadays, I stayed for the social aspect: I can connect and interact with people from all over the world. The fact that I could get an upovote is a nice extra but definitely not anymore my motivation to stay!

Here are my answers:

1. I met Hive through a Telegram group.

2. I had no idea about blockchain technology or about cryptocurrencies.

3. What I like the most about Hive is that there is room for everyone. Thanks to the communities you can find others with whom to share interests and experiences.

How did I discovered Hive?
Early this year I needed another source of income and I spoke with a friend @philips-afolayan and he introduced hive to me as a platform where people monetize their ability to write, at first I wasn't serious with it but later I contacted him to put me through he then referred me to @vickoly who helped me to be here today and also taught me most of what I knew about hive.

What do I like about hive
Although I am a newbie on Hive but this 21days has been one of the best for me, I have improved in my writings, I feel less burdened by sharing my experiences on hive, I met friends that I bonded with beyond hive such as @dfreitesp, @debby-cwm and so on, and I have participated in contest. Although I didn't win prizes but I am happy I participated.
