Beautiful Lantama

This weedy bush is somehow the one that still looks beautiful despite the bleak-looking surroundings as we go deeper into the dry season. The area where I work is made of limestone, so that when it is dry season, then there is no source of water that could keep the area green like the other part of the island.

And then this little guy could produce a flower that is striking in color, something different and beautiful compared to the surroundings. The problem is that this is only can be used as a cover plant, and as they spread and can withstand harsh conditions, they could kill the native plant that we want to thrive.

But anyway, this is what nature has to offer, something beautiful, not that useful, but could live in a very bad condition, while the one that is beneficial for use needs a lot of attention for it to thrive.

Here you can see the beautiful color and the shape of this flower.

and now we can see the last seed that still can be seen on its stem, some of it already fallen to the ground or already spread by other animals.
