I will make my descent- Monomad challenge

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge hosted and curated by @monochromes

When I first saw this spider, it was resting so comfortably at the tip of the flower stem of the Stachytarpheta cayennensis or commonly known as the blue snakeweed.

I am not really sure of this spider's species name, but after a quick Google search, I got the suggestion that it is most likely the wolf spider. Can not find the exact name of this species, unfortunately.

The fortunate side is that this spider seems tame enough to let me take several shots of him on the same place at the tip of the stem. He looks so gorgeous, but my greed take the best of me, so for a better angle I tried to bend the stem, which seemed to distubr this lovely guy.

It is when it decided to take his descent because his position is too open and vulnerable to the predator. However, he is actually a predator, who is still waiting for the prey to come close to it, before snatching it for the meal. it makes a slow descent, which give me enough time to take some other photos of this spider, before it reaches the base of the flower stem, and cover with the leaves.
