Lily's Flower - Monomad challenge

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge hosted and curated by @monochromes



This is my experiment doing this kind of shoot, and I was a quite satisfied with the result. This is the flower of a water lily which was planted in the small pond on the next villa in my workplace.

the flower is not fully bloomed yet, only open a little bit, so you can see the petals overlapping in the shot below.

The other thing is that this flower is big, so that my current macro gear set up could not really get the whole flower in the frame, thus I only decided to take the small part of the flower that could fit into my camera. Kind life fills the frame style.

The other this is that the flash from my camera fall nicely into the petal, giving its texture and also the character to it.
