Look dangerous but not

I was checking on my mother pea plant when I notice that she left a few fruits to dry on its own, and I saw that it has holes in them. I know that it might be because the fruit was too small that my mother thought it was not worth it to harvest since it had no edible seed inside it, and just let it dry there.

When I try to open one of them to check what is inside, I got a little surprise since apparently there were earwigs that live inside the fruit. Maybe they are the one who are responsible for the holes in the dried fruit.

I picked the fruit, and break it open so that I could get a better view of the earwig, and the unexpected happen when the earwig was running out and try to flee. It somehow just stopped outside of the fruit, so it makes my task easier to photograph them.

I managed to take a few photos in this position before my nephew came with his curiosity, and smashed the fruit so the earwig fell into the floor.

it ran and scrambled for life when it hit the floor, but after some time, it stopped, maybe accessing the area. long enough for me to take a few photos of the earwig on the floor before it run for safety again.

The earwig looks so dangerous because of the stinger that can be seen at the tip of its abdomen, but it is not venomous and those stinger means nothing just a feature on its body to scare off the predators.

Earwigs look the same everywhere! It's interesting that evolution has kept them pretty much the same world wide. Great shots!
