Tobacco grasshopper and Froghopper

Although I have photographed this grasshopper a few times already in the past, and I also have made a post about it, somehow there always seem to be some interesting things that I notice whenever I take a closer look into this animal.

And this time I noticed the beautiful color gradation on its short antennae, it looks so nice and also very lovely. it has some blueish color on its base and then it turns light green at the end of the antennae. such love is evidence of an amazing nature, isn't it?

This grasshopper is called a Tobacco grasshopper or Atractomorpha_crenulata, it has a lovely body shape, and the head part that makes it a little different from the other grasshopper, the head more like triangular, not a flat-faced like the common grasshopper.

Not far from the grasshopper, I found this treehopper, I think this one is called a froghopper. It is most likely to be Philaenus spumarius, the meadow froghopper or meadow spittlebug, is a species of insect belonging to the spittlebug family Aphrophoridae.

Great shots of such small insects! Interesting that the grasshopper is called a tobacco grasshopper when tobacco isn't indigenous to your island!
