🎃Happy Birthday! 🍰

As some of you are aware of, @lunamoon had her 11th this past weekend and it was quite the success! I didn't get all the pictures I would have liked to, but in my defense, I was playing a zombie and trying to eat her and her friends' brains. She thought it would be a great idea to have a 'zombie obstacle course' for her party so, I did my best to make it happen.

Had the older boys (@dr460n3y3 and @b34w0lf) get in on it with both @freyamber and @khaldeesi volunteering to get zombified and help with the course. I lined the entire thing with some well-placed tiki torches to make the spookiness set in and shadows help with fear. It consisted of a crawling bit, some tires and then a rope run before reaching a 'safe zone' snack table behind the trampoline. That's where we weren't allowed to eat brains. Then, there was a running stretch with a big 'slip-n-slide' before finally reaching the giant pile of leaves to jump in.

Originally, I had thought about what to use to make the tarp all slippery. I literally used 4 tubes of KY jelly and that just wasn't cuttin' it. Luckily, we had a big bottle of dish soap to fall back on. I think the two together were quite the slick tandem. After all the kiddos were tarred and feathered, we brought them in for the traditional birthday song and cake. Well, cheesecake anyway. She made them herself. One is a Key Lime with pecan crumble crust, a chocolate with chocolate graham crust and then a normal one for boring taste buds. 😝
