I'm not entirely sure how spiders on boobs and having them run across some sexy lips got into the conversation, but there they were! Maybe it was Elvira swinging her spider tassels on her tits that had everyone in the mindset. Either way, at Family Time tonight, spiders were a topic. What you see above, is a male type of Wolf Spider fairly common here in Tennessee.

That one, is obviously not a male. Do you think little baby spiders eat each other as a survival of the fittest tactic? I know several get left behind when they scatter from their mother from a fright, so I have wonder. You ever seen them spread out and flee thinking their mother needed the room to defend herself? Pretty impressive work of art.

Aren't they cute though? Little tiny versions that are barely the size of a fleck of ground pepper that grow up to be three plus inches around! Some of the Night Fishing wolf spider variety, they are twice that size! Hope I didn't scare you and oh yeah, REMEMBER TO BE YOU! I always am, all across the web.

It was all good until the last gif where there is movement on her back.
not expecting that is her kids on her back, since I thought it was just the natural feature she has, with pimple and stuff.
fascinating. : )

Woah. This is really pretty. I'd never have guessed and may have rubbed it thinking it's just a cute purple rock. Lol

I'd never have guessed that it was carrying her babies. That's something alright. And oh, seen a gif now. Really frightening stuff.

I've started to get a lot less scared of bugs and spiders in general. Actually for the most part, pretty comfortable - appreciating how remarkable and awesome they really are! It's the speed of some of them which still freaks me out. That spider on the top actually looks pretty cute (when looking at little eyes).. but it also looks like a potential runner.

I'm generally pretty good at quickly (and carefully) putting a tub over them, and then very gently (and carefully) sliding a thin piece of card underneath. That's now become my 'go to' method of safely relocating them. Anyway, I'm kinda rambling. Your photos are really awesome my good buddy. Very cool!

I carefully removed "Dorris" a.k.a "Sam" to remain gender neutral and politically correct just the other day.

She was kinda cute in the end. (Removed in case she was making a nest, btw!) Well timed.

That is a big, scary spider. Not so cute. That many spiders can't be so cute... 👀

The boy Wolf spider is very handsome though 👍
