How about we go over that badass PIMP Shit? In case you have no idea what a PIMP even is, let me tell you. A PIMP is all about money and making theirs. Here on Hive, we do that several different ways.

Assuming you have enough PIMP staked to breech the dividend sharing percentages, we share more tokens with you than any other organization, tribe or community on Hive. We are on the top 20 of over a dozen rich lists in holdings and mete most of them out to our PIMPs. We hide nothing, there is no 'behind the scenes' sus bullshit going on. I tell it like it is and keep anyone informed that wants to take the time to hear it. I'll even tell you what the fuck we're doing so you can be a PIMP on your own time. But, I don't do financial advice. I just get money. You can too. Why?

I'm a muthafukn P.I.M.P. and the more I make, the more you make and the more you make, the more I make and the moar all of us PIMPs make. 😎 So, let me tell you how this PIMP shit works and about the 'top 200' and how you can start stakkin'. Since the last upadate, we have made a few changes here and there. Let it be known, we aren't a private circle jerk and I invite anyone and everyone now, that wants to learn ways to be a P.I.M.P., to join us in the Castle and find The PIMP District where we have meetings every Tuesday at 8 am CST and can answer any questions and address any concerns you may have.

How can you get some tokens to stake?

Ways To Acquire PIMP

if you already have PIMP and want more -

  • All of the above
  • Delegate HP to @tokenpimp for a PIMPed out vote (vote based on size of delegation)
  • Use the PIMP slapper on a post or comment (must have 1000 PIMP staked)
  • Delegate PIMP to the @oneup-cartel's or @lolzbot PIMP curator accounts
  • Curate other PIMPs and support the District's citizens

PIMP Slapper?

Yes. You have to have at least 1000 PIMP staked (which also gets you the PIMP badge on #peakd) to make 1 call per day to tip someone 1 PIMP. To make 2 calls and tip 5 PIMP, you need to have 10,000 staked and so on and so forth. This also slaps the same amount to your own stash of tokens. See the following chart:

We discuss every week, whether or not to add any or remove any tokens from these lists. If you do not see your token on here, come ask us why. If you have a token you would like added and are a PIMP, hop in the chat with us and plead your case.

The Fuck Does That Mean?

All the tokens on the first list, are ones we share every day with people that have the balls to stake our token. The distribution is set to the top 200 highest staked balances (after any outgoing delegations). Incoming delegations do not count towards totals for distribution. Outgoing delegations do not count toward your staked balance as you are not using it to curate any other PIMPs but letting others do it for you. And, since they are using it on your behalf without it being staked, it will not count for them either.

Some of you may notice that it doesn't reach 200 accounts yet (currrently the top 80 staykrz). That's because early adopters like @nathanmars and @biglove (appreciate that immensely by the way you two) have been staking them since it was created. They have a much higher percentage in the total amount of staked PIMP than even myself! Gift of the HODL. As more people acquire and stake PIMP, and our distribution center continues its pursuit of domination, it will continue to spread the wealth on to deeper levels until it hits 200. At that point, we will discuss whether or not to extend the numbers.

WINNING

Stright up, the purpose of PIMP is to get money. Yes, I love the community here, but you have to understand the realm in which you are living just by reading this. You're not on a WordPress blog. You're not on Tumblr. Or Fakebook. Or even The New York Times absorbing the media you desire - no - you're here. Here where some people use this blockchain to feed their families or fund their causes or build their dreams! So, all the profits being made by sales of PIMP from the center of operations and any other token trades, sales, swaps and earnings - are going right back into it compounding everything we can to better give back to all of you.

I often say we because I couldn't do any of this without any of you - the community. So, here, in this space, money and your network go hand in hand like a happily married couple fresh off to their honeymoon. The only difference between PIMP and others is - we want to WIN. Will we? It is yet to be proven otherwise and I'm not one to give up very easily.

In closing, I just wanna say that I don't really give a shit if you are or become a PIMP or not. We're gonna get money with or without you. Just is what it is. Some will see it right off the bat. Some will see the potential, the numbers involved and put it on their TDL. Some will just ignore us. Anyone that knows me, knows I make things happen.

And that's one of the keys. There are three kinds of people in this world. Ones that make things happen, ones that watch things happen and ones that wonder what the fuck just happened. While you decide which one you are, REMEMBER TO BE YOU! I always am and you already know - ery day I'm hustlin'.

And no, I'm not offended. I just thought this whole thing was ridiculous. In general though, for some reason, I just don't see the point when it comes to these 'projects'. What am I missing, dude? Why is this appealing? Or maybe how is this appealing? What's the catch?

Another thing I'm curious about. There are countless topics someone could write about. But let's say most of them have nothing to do with pimping. Why would someone want to tag their post with #pimp? Viewing that from an outsider's perspective. How does that fit in? What's the first thing that would come to their mind when reading a post about ducks or that trip to the beach?

There is no catch my dude, it just is.

By tagging their post with PIMP, they would signal that they too, wanna get money. I get the love for development here, one of the things I love about Hive - but you would be hard pressed to find someone that does it for free.

And that's a fair answer.

I think the name and gimmick has the potential to limit reach. Something to consider for future projects. I know money is money and people will do anything to scrape a few pennies off the floor but business is business and you gotta know how to hustle. That's really all I was trying to say. No disrespect.

If the ones at the top decided to sell, granted, the price would drop a bit, but then the dividends would be dispersed to more and different people, so it would work itself out and be a win win for both sides of that fence.

I suppose if one was interested in receiving tokens, that might be appealing. The first thing I'm looking for is actual value though, then risk factors. Even the dividends offer the same risks and they all build on one another. If I'm holding those tokens, someone sells, my return potential is diminished. The more tokens added looks good on paper but to me that looks like more potential points of failure. It's all dependent on holders but if everyone holds there's no money to be made. Each new face is a potential seller and each seller has the potential to affect all returns. Not many buyers propping up many of those tokens; almost all hitting the floor.

Again I'm not knocking this. Like I said, I've never understood the appeal. I'm swayed in the other direction by default it seems. Nothing pops. And if I put a little bit in, that's debt. And there's almost an endless stream of tokens being sold when accessed through other means. I could keep going but you get the point. Makes my head spin. I've always earned way more by skipping all these steps and just going with the basics. I'm getting tokens and most of the time I don't even know how or why, most of which are worthless. An endless stream with no effort or risk. I simply upvote posts.

Anyway, that's just my brain farting.

By divs, I'm not referring to the PIMP token. I'm referring to all the other ones that we share with the hodlrz. In all reality, it's relatively cheap (for now) and you could probably get up in the top 50 (about 6000 staykt) for just under 60 HIVE. Top 80 for about half of that. You don't even need to use HIVE to buy them, swap some other tokens around and bingo bango, Bob might be your uncle. But, I don't suggest ever 'investing' anything you aren't afraid to lose. That being said, you would only gain them by adding the tag to a post from time to time or hopping in an LP where it is offered as a reward.

a million of those have been burned and another 10 million I issued (mainly as a test) is sitting for market value and future sales to further the PIMP initiative, promotional use like token swaps off the books, contests, supporting #pypt, giveaways for this that or the other. Over a third has been issued. A halving will happen in about 7 million more. The model is designed (I think anyway), to retain its value.

We'll see of course. Only time will tell and it is entirely up to you whether or not to join us.

Thanks, but I was asking about the top 80 stakers thing :) in order to get the dividends one have to meet some additional requirements that by now only the top 80 stakers meet?

They have a high enough percentage of the dividend pool. As more people stake and grow their balances, it will keep spreading out. That list, you can see if you click the delegations tab, go to page 2 and see where #80 is, will give you roughly about how much you need to start in on the sharing 😇
