there's a sculpture by the sea at the far end of the park. it is made of the famous local stone larvikite with a round hole straight through it. viewing through the hole is reminiscent of looking through a telescope with a few choice scenes to focus in on

but this is a shadow contest not a tourist promotion or a seashore appreciation post so i shall concentrate on some nice evening shadows

featuring my wife @hindavi as the starlet by the stone

i like how the shadow with the hole in the sculpture appears at such a distance

the above shot is my contest entry

the hole makes for a headless shadow when stabding in the right position

now i am sure the vast majority of visitors to this stone never even see such nice shadow formations. they are too impressed with the charm and view to notice anything else. so i am very happy to share this great place with folks that appreciate the fine wonders of the world of shadows

What an incredible sculpture! I am sure you are right that many people do not notice the Shadow. Thanks to @hindavi for adding even more shadow beauty!

This is a very interesting and imaginative place to capture your photo.
The scenery is breathtaking, too.

the place is now a lovely seaside park but historically it was a naval base for many years. it's very close to our house so we go there often
