A moment of bad luck with a new device...

I'm going to share with you an odd moment of bad luck when I first started working at the bagel shop. A few weeks after my first few paychecks I had bought a new phone that cost around 360$ (including the service fee). It was one of my first 'major' purchase with my newly found income and I was feeling ecstatic.

The phone was a Motorola (not sure the model) and I got a new number for it. I had it for about 3 weeks and suddenly when the phone died for some reason none of my chargers worked. I went to the store that I bought it from and they said that the phone was unable to charge correctly because of the charging port AND the warranty didn't cover the damage. Needless to say I was upset and so I bought a Samsung that same day (for around the same price).

The kicker is that the new charger that I got for the Samsung worked on the 'broken' Motorola. It was a weird moment to be sure and I was pissed by this point. It successfully charged and worked... So for a week I was pretty bummed out about it working again after buying a new phone.

Later, the Motorola was unable to charge correctly (again). This time it stopped charging for good. I'm not sure what happened to it or why it wasn't charging but I guess I'm sticking with Samsung for a while. I typically buy entry-level phones because I work in construction and I don't think it's smart to spend a lot of money on a phone in this business. I guess this is just an example of "you got what you paid for". It's strange because I tend to bounce around with Motorola, Samsung and LG androids but this is the FIRST time this has ever happened to me and my warranty didn't cover it—It was bizarre.
