About a week ago, I returned to the blockchain after a week of reflecting, wrapping my mind about what happened and accepting what happened. Reflecting how I should react and behave and accepting the situation of my account being stolen and liquidated before my eyes.

It received much support - so much so that it was the highest payout for the entire week on the chain. By the time it rewards, it will be worth $136.77 USD rewarding both author and curators.

I Rejoice With You!

My biggest (irrational) fear is that the people I've interacted with would turn their backs for committing the blockchain "sin" of not keeping keys secure (even if unaware). But when I acknowledge to myself and to others (what I believe is) the divine origin of this event, and gave Him the glory - both in acknowledging HIs sovereignty and (hopefully) exhibiting good fruit in handling the situation, I had peace.

It allowed me to get back up, make that first post, even when it was tempting to just walk away. And the community response was absolutely amazing. Even before that post, people have been helping me however they could.

This is why I set 100% rewards on that post back to the community, to everyone who offered comment on that post.

If you are rejoicing, I rejoice WITH YOU!

I have received so much support and well wishes, helping me to continue on, encouraging me to NOT despair, but keep on going.

You make a fine example of personal fortitude and resilience @gratefuleveryday .
I come to know too many of Hivers quitting Hive after having their accounts hacked and plundered. There was even a tragic case about a victim after having lost the last of his funds in a Rug Pull committed suicide on a live feed. Should I come across anyone in need of perspective I can always point them to you.

I was just telling my wife (without specific examples) of people who have done very extreme things when their "life's work" vanishes before their eyes. Eight years of blogging is hardly my life's work, it was a lot of work - but it's not really gone. Not only is it still on the chain, my "audience" hasn't gone anywhere, evidenced by the comments and engagement and support I'm still having with these posts.

About the teach your children part, maybe you should teach them both "faces of the coin" and then let them choose what they think is right/wrong ect. Just trowing a book claming to know everything might br a little missleading

I agree that "just throwing a book claiming to know everything" is a poor way to teach children. If a parent disagrees with the philosophy of a book, they certainly should not be using that book to teach children.
