New Memes - New Themes - And a Rebellion Squashed

It is time for another meme contest update. Get your LOL ready and join in on #slothbuzz discord.

About a week ago we got the @karina.gpt chatbot into the slothbuzz discord and this week @slothlydoesit announced daily themes for the meme contest that are related to @cryptoshots.nft.

I could not resist and asked Karina do draw me Kermit playing Cryptoshots to turn it into a meme.

In my mind there was a theme "green" at some point and I still had some of that in me.

The themes for this week are:

• Mon CryptoShots
• Tue DOOM
• Wed P2E Gaming
• Thur AI BOTS
• Fri BOOM
• Sat NFTs
• Sun WAX

But meanwhile in another channel @ciderjunkie started a coup.

Oh goodie, I immediately had a meme in mind.

Needless to say our little rebellion was squashed in an instant, we lost momentum and went on with our lives.

It looks like we have to take over slothbuzz the old fashioned way. That means accumulating a lot of tokens and prepare to pull an Elon Musk on it.

With that we have entered the realms of alternative meanings. The word DOOM immediately triggered the image of that old fashioned pseudo-3D Shooter we all loved in the early 90's but also other interpretations surfaced.

Did you know about the Doomsday Clock? It inspired this meme:

It was caused by the theme "Hive" which we had a few days ago. I think I am starting to like these crossover memes.

What a fun way (at least for me) to spice the themes up a little bit. At some point an alternative interpretation will hit me and that will be turned into a meme. Hopefully.

Last but not least it is noteworthy that the themes given are not a must. For the main contest the creation of any new meme is enough to participate.

So if you are creating memes anyway, why not post them at #slothbuzz discord just a few seconds before you use it elsewhere? That is fine with the rules. The meme itself just has to be new (be it text or image) and not have been posted anywhere else before. After posting it into the contest you can use it anywhere anytime.
